The Rich Son Korean Drama Recap: Episode 1
Hyun Sook calls her husband while she gives birth, but Won Yong is playing with girls at karaoke. His boss tells him that the client is interested in the chubby girl, scolding Won Yong after knowing he wants to leave, and reveals he didn’t go to see his pregnant wife until his son is 5 years old. Just then a young lady runs to the boss and holds his hand. Boss walks her away with smile.
Young Ae asks Soon Ok why Hyun Sook takes so long to deliver, Soon Ok thinks it must be a baby boy who looks like her husband. Just then Gye Dong takes his wife Hye Ja breaking into lobby, she faints and bleeds. He screams and asks doctor to save his wife.
Nurse calls Soon Ok, she finds out it’s baby girl then. Soon Ok isn’t happy when Young Ae asks her to look at the baby girl. Hyun Sook feels sorry while she is tried. Soon Ok signs and says, “baby girl?”. Young Ae tells Soon Ok that the lady is dead and reveals the doctor saved the baby, it’s baby boy. Gye Dong cries at lobby and asks his wife why she left him.
Just then, Won Yong arrives and asks Soon Ok what the matter. She tells him that his wife passed away but his baby is alive. Nurse asks Soon Ok if she isn’t happy because of the baby girl, she denies and says daughter will be more precious in the future. Nurse tells Hyun Sook that the baby boy is in the hospital after his mother passed away. Soon Ok asks nurse to wear the blanket for the baby, nurse thanks her.
Meanwhile, Won Yong runs into Hyun Sook and Soon Ok while taking his baby. Soon Ok says, “how is he going to raise the baby alone?”

Young Ha runs into Gwang Jae who takes another girl walking in the restaurant. She is scared and says, “it’s all right. I don’t know him at all.” Hye Ji orders 2007 vintage hermitage and asks for Gwang Jae opinions, he thinks it’s good for light drinking. Young Ha sneers at him and thinks he showed off more than the last time she saw him. She tells herself, “Good Job! You’re such a pro. I’ve never seen any other woman who stays calm in front of their ex’s new girlfriend.” while pouring wine. But she turns over the desk after she tripped because of her high heels.
Hye Ji screams and scolds Young Ha ruins her bad. Manager feels sorry and asks Young Ha to clean it. But Hye Ji stops her and thinks her dishcloth is dirty, asking her that if she knows how much the bag is, and reveals she went to Florence to get it, even if Young Ha says, “I am sorry!” Manager is shocked when Hye Ji mentions Florence, and asks Young Ha to make apologize.
But Hye Ji doesn’t want apology but compensating. Manager says that they should and asks her how much it is. Hye Ji says that it’s 2,000 euro. Gwang Jae thinks Young Ha is flustered and asks manager if she has insurance. Manager reveals she doesn’t have as she is a part-timer. He lets her go back to work after knowing it, but Hye Ji still asks Young Ha to pay the bag. Gwang Jae worries his girlfriend gets insomnia because of it and tells her that he is going to buy her double. Hye Ji still wants to give Young Ha a lesson since she hasn’t any sense of duty, and thinks he is best one when he holds her hand.
But Young Ha want to compensate even if Gwang Jae claims she needn’t, and asks the receipt and guarantee card. Hye Ji gives her the card and asks her to check the serial number. Young Ha asks her to provide her name and bank account, although manager persuades her not to act proud. Young Ha denies and thinks it’s a strong sense of duty. Hye Ji thinks she has nothing but pride. Young Ha tells Hye Ji that the money she is going to pay only includes the food and tax, it doesn’t include the right to insult her. Gwang Jae hits desk and says that he believes that food price includes a silence promise she will provide them the best service, asking her to type her phone number so that he will send her his bank account.
Young Ha is fired and walks outside, getting a call from Tae-Il who asks her to meet up this weekend. She wants to meet up now. Soo Hee gets angry after knowing her older brother is going to open a new branch in US, telling Gye Dong that she doesn’t want him to join their business, warning to get divorced with Gye Dong if he lets her older brother in.
Gye Dong asks Soo Hee why she doesn’t trust her brother and thinks he brings many clients to them. She yells at him and asks him why he makes things more complicated. Tae Il asks Young Ha why she wants to work in his restaurant since she rejected it. She reveals she has a bad memory in back-bone stews.
Young Ha pretends to be a client and praises the back-bone stews after seeing the couple is hesitate to eat back-bone stews. Gye Dong asks Tae Il who the girl is, he reveals she is the new part-timer. Soo Hee tells Tae Il to persuade his father not to get involve Gye Dong’s business, and reveals she is going to buy Gwang Jae underwear, ignoring him while he is going to give her some advise.
Young Ha is siting at subway station looking for babysitter job via her phone, asking herself why she tripped her own leg on 2,000 euros. Just then a guy approaches her and runs away while she yells at private loan company boss towards her phone, claiming she is going to see her organs to pay off her debt.
Meanwhile, Hyun Sook tells Won Yong that she never seen a father who asks his daughter for interests. He reveals Young Ha stole the tuition fees and thinks she is a fraud, saying Hyun Sook is an accomplice. She asks his husband to forgive Young Ha since she pays him $1,500 per month. He rejects it and asks Hyun Sook about Kyung Ha, requiring her to come back home no matter what after Hyun Sook reveals she goes on the business trip.
Young Ae breaks into when Bok Soon gives the interests she gathered to Soon Ok. Soon Ok hides the money under her butt, while seeing Young Ae. Then Bok Soon left and heard Young Ae badmouthed her to Soon Ok, she lost her temper and thinks she is better than Young Ae. Hyun Sook asks Choi Yong to fix the light on her front door when she runs into Bok Soon. Bok Soon says that her son isn’t their slaver and places gum which she just chewed on the door.
Hyun Sook rejects it when Young Ae is going to set a blind date for Kyung Ha, and claims she is shooting with model, thinking ability is better than age when Young Ae persuades that Kyung Ha is old.

Hyun Sook calls Kyung Ha when she is kissing Choi Yong, and asks her to come back. But Kyung Ha lies that she is shooting with model and hung up the phone. Hyun Sook lost her temper when reminds Young Ae was going to set a divorced single to Kyung Ha. Just then Myung Ha calls her and claims he will cook food for her after he returns home.
The sponsor introduces Gye Dong to everyone at the school reunion, revealing he made a huge donation, even if Gye Dong claims he didn’t graduate. Won Yong joins and doesn’t recognize him until some else call him hemp panties. Gye Dong also recognizes him and calls Won Yong class president. Won Yong knows him owning a restaurant and asking him drink alcohol.
Soo Hee hurts her hand while cooking food. Gye Dong wants to leave after knowing Gwang Jae returns home. Won Yong knows Gye Dong raises his son himself and is successful. Gye Dong and Hyo Dong welcome Gwang Jae when he is going to give gift to Soo Hee.

Gwang Jae wants to eat dakgalbi which is made by his father, even if Soo Hee prepared many delicious foods. Hyo Dong reveals dakgalbi needs many deboned chicken, Gye Dong says that he prepared it at his store. Hyo Dong calls Tae Il to take the deboned chicken when he is at parking lot. Tae Il says that he will take it, but he needs some time because of the traffic.
Gye Dong doesn’t agree after knowing Gwang Jae wants to be a travel writer, because he thinks his son is going to leave him again. Tae Il tells Soo Hee that her foods were delicious, and asks her about her hand. She ignores him and returns her room, sighing while sitting.
Gwang Jae asks Tae Il to explain it to Gye Dong for him, while Gye Dong thinks his son is bad and immature. Bok Soon runs into Young Ha outside the beer bar, telling her that she was fired, treating her with the beer. They are happy because of the debts.
Kyung Ha yells at Hyun Sook via phone when she is kissing Choi Yong. She tells him that her mom will go crazy if she knows he is dating her. Won Yong is on the way home, saying, “Mom, Gye Dong has become rich.” He sees Choi Yong kissing Kyung Ha while he is walking. Won Yong is shocked and sits on the ground.
