Xu Lingyi decides to leave because he doesn’t want to disturb his wife. She tells him that she will see him off. He asks her if she’s happy for his leaving.

Shiyi Niang explains that she doesn’t want to keep Xu Lingyi because he’s very busy. He agrees to what she said. He’s furious to walk away. The maid Dong Qing wonders why Shiyi Niang didn’t keep Xu Lingyi because they had a good talk. Another maid persuades Shiyi Niang that she will live hard in the house if she cannot get along well with Xu Lingyi.
The maid reports to Wen Yiniang that Xu Lingyi didn’t sleep in Shiyi Niang’s house. Wen Yiniang thinks Shiyi Niang doesn’t get Xu Lingyi’s heart. She brags that she took down Qiao Yiniang without working hard. She thinks she should be a friend of Shiyi Niang, and wants to help Wen family. The maid mentions Shiyi Niang is very happy when she got money.
Qiao Yiniang visits Yu Lingyi with the soup. She tells him to drink it because it’s going to be cold. But he says that he wants to go to see his mom because she has leg illness. She says that she wants to go with him because she wants to give his mom a pair of kneecaps.
Qiao Yiniang gives the kneecaps to Madam Xu. Madam Xu thinks her son cares for her health. Xu Lingyi claims that it’s the thing he should do. Qiao Yiniang thinks it was her blessing that Madam Xu didn’t scold her when she made mistake. Madam Xu thinks Qiao Yiniang is a good girl. She tells Xu Lingyi to care for Qiao Yiniang.
Qiao Yiniang tells Madam Xu that she keeps thinking of Xu Lingyi. Madam Xu tells Xu Lingyi to visit Qiao Yiniang because she wishes the two to have a baby. Dong Qing reports to Shiyi Niang that Qiao Yiniang and Xu Lingyi are at Madam Xu’s house. Shiyi Niang thinks it’s a good thing. She adds that they will have enough time to take action.
Xu Lingyi tells Madam Xu that he needs to leave because he has a business. She asks him to stay to have a meal with Qiao Yiniang. But he rejects it. Qiao Yiniang thinks Xu Lingyi still doesn’t want to forgive her. Madam Xu denies and tells Qiao Yiniang to warm Xu Lingyi’s heart.
Shiyi Niang tells the follower that she wants to take a sample clothes of Xu Lingyi because she wants to make a clothes for him. He lets her in. Xu Lingyi shows up. The follower reports to Xu Lingyi that Shiyi Niang is in his room. Xu Lingyi tells the follower to make a tea for him. He sees Shiyi Niang looking for something from his clothes. He asks her what she’s looking for.
