Empress Xuan thinks Crown Princess couldn’t clam when she talked about Fifth Princess who had bullied her. She adds that Crown Princess was upset when she noted that Madam Quling is more beautiful than her. She reveals Crown Prince and Madam Quling had feelings for each other when Madam Quling came to the palace to have fun.
Empress Xuan tells Chang Shaoshang that Emperor Wen couldn’t break off the marriage because he promised his old friend. She adds that Crown Prince had to get married with Crown Princess. Cheng Shaoshang thinks it would be better if Crown Prince broke the promise.
Empress Xuan reveals Ling Buyi said the same words. She mentions Ling Buyi told her and Emperor Wen that the marriage will hurt Crown Prince. She adds that he went to persuade Crown Prince after Emperor Wen didn’t listen to him.
Cheng Shaoshang thinks Crown Princess didn’t do anything wrong because she wanted to marry Crown Prince. She thinks Crown Princess will let it go since Madam Quling married someone else. But Empress Xuan points out that Crown Princess cannot do so.
Empress Xuan reveals women will worry that they will lose something when they fall in love. She thinks nobody is like Cheng Shaoshang who didn’t give her heart to Ling Buyi. Cheng Shaoshang tells Empress Xuan that she wronged her.
Empress Xuan asks Cheng Shaoshang if she actually likes Ling Buyi. Cheng Shaoshang admits it. She tells Empress Xuan that she treats Ling Buyi like moon and snow. She thinks Ling Buyi is like her who has blood and meat. She tells Empress Xuan that she likes Ling Buyi than before.
Empress Xuan tells Cheng Shaoshang that she worried that there won’t be any woman understanding Ling Buyi. She thinks Ling Buyi chose a right woman. Cheng Shaoshang smiles. The old maid breaks into the palace. She reports to Empress Xuan that Emperor Wen wants to punish Ling Buyi because Ling Buyi offended him.
Cheng Shaoshang runs to Emperor Wen’s palace. Eunuch tells her that Ling Buyi beat the fathers and the brothers of the ladies who bullied her. He tells her that Emperor Wen is getting angry. He thinks Ling Buyi cannot avoid the disaster.
Cheng Shaoshang thinks what Emperor Wen does isn’t right. Emperor Wen tells Cheng Shaoshang to get into his palace to talk about it. She gets into the palace and gets on knees with Ling Buyi. Emperor Wen mentions the chancellors are going to arrive at the court. He asks the two what to do.
Cheng Shaoshang tries to explain it for Ling Buyi. But he rejects her help. He wants to take the duty on his own. She points out that the revenge belongs to her. He tells her not to care for him since she has known his real face. She wonders why he said so. She reminds him that they were engaged.
