The Spies Who Loved Me: Episode 2 Recap & Review

A-Reum is tripped by Tinker when he hunts Sophie Ahn. Ji-Hoon chases Tinker. His hat drops. Sophie Ahn is missing. Tinker turns around and shoots Ji-Hoon’s arm. He runs away. Ji-Hoon picks up the veil and sees A-Reum. She sees him as well when she takes his hat.
Ji-Hoon asks A-Reum if she is fine. She tells him that she hurts her head. So he takes a look at her. But she says that she didn’t get hurt, and finds out that his arm is bleeding. She worries about it after seeing the veil is stained by his blood. He feels guilty.
A-Reum holds Ji-Hoon’s arm and asks him if the person hurt him. He tells her that the male took a knife. She wonders why the person appeared there, and asks him if he saw his face. He tells her that there’re many perverts came there to attack girls.
A-Reum spots Ji-Hoon’s body and tells him to wear a shirt. He tells her that it’s her part-time job, and picks up Sophie Ahn’s phone. She tells him that the girl is her friend. He learns that her friend hired him. She gets a call from the bodyguard who tells her that they caught the man who attacked Sophie Ahn.
Pil-Ho takes off the bodyguards and breaks the window to flee. A-Reum and Ji-Hoon arrive and take a look at the footage. But they cannot see the face of the stalker. Ji-Hoon decides to see Sophie Ahn after knowing that she has a friend. A-Reum stops Ji-Hoon and rips her skirt to bind up his wound.
A-Reum and Ji-Hoon drive the car to Sophie Ahn’s place. He sees her wedding dress in the room. She finds the smudge on the dress and thinks someone visited the place. She thinks the person isn’t a chief as he didn’t take away the cashes. Ji-Hoon wants to take a look but bumps A-Reum. He takes a looks at her forehead and spots a scar.
A-Reum reveals she was hurt when she installed something at home. Ji-Hoon thinks her husband should do the job. She sneers at him, and mentions she changed all the lightbulbs when they were married. But he points out that Derek Hyun doesn’t care for her like him. But she thinks Derek Hyun is better than him.
Ji-Hoon asks A-Reum where Sophie Ahn intended to go on her honeymoon. But she doesn’t know about it. He finds out that Sophie Ahn packed some swimsuits. She tells him to put the swimsuits down. But he tells her that it’s a girdle. He laughs and reminds her that she wore a girdle to work. He adds that she did it without wearing a skirt.
A-Reum notes someone visited Sophie Ahn’s house. She wants to call a cop. Ji-Hoon says that he knows a cop and calls Seo-Ra. He tells her the details about Sophie Ahn. He hangs up when A-Reum walks to him. He tells her to return hotel since he told it to the cop.
But A-Reum doesn’t believe the cop can find Sophie Ahn. She wants to look for her friend on her own. But Ji-Hoon points out that it’s useless because she cannot see well in the dark. Sophie Ahn is hunted by someone. She rolls down from the hill.
Ji-Hoon visits the thug and tells him to look for Sophie Ahn for him. He gets A-Reum to give the car key to the thug. A-Reum sees the thug leaving with his followers, and thinks Ji-Hoon joined a gang. But he tells her that they’re his soccer club teammates. She points out that they’re bad guys.
A-Reum asks Ji-Hoon what the pawnshop owner said to him. He says that he asked him if she was his girlfriend. He adds that he denied. She agreed to what he said. He mentions they never dated before they got married, and they got married six months after they first met. He says that they didn’t know each other even if they were in love.
A-Reum unties the cloth for Ji-Hoon, and applies the medicine on his wound. She finds a new scar on his back, and mentions the woman who made him cheat on her. Seo-Ra shows up and asks if what they’re talking about is her. She tells A-Reum that she sees Ji-Hoon more often. A-Reum is furious and intends to leave. Seo-Ra wants to call taxi for A-Reum.
A-Reum rejects it. She says that she prefers to walk because she needs some air. She leaves the room and remembers she spotted cheated on her with Seo-Ra. She put a grass into his mouth.
Seo-Ra asks Ji-Hoon who hurt him. He says that the person had a gun. She thinks they should question A-Reum. He is against it and thinks A-Reum will be furious when he apologizes. She tells him not to apologize.
Ji-Hoon finds A-Reum and keeps saying sorry to her. She thinks he married Seo-Ra. He denies. She thinks Seo-Ra is his soulmate. He denies again and gets a call from someone who tells him that there was a woman falling off a cliff. He asks her to go there with him.
Ji-Hoon and A-Reum arrive at the place. He goes to check if the woman is Sophie Ahn, and tells A-Reum to wait for him. He tells her that the woman isn’t Sophie Ahn. She sighs and leans her hand on his chest. She asks about the woman. He says that she just lost her footing. She says that she wishes nobody will get hurt.
Ji-Hoon escorts A-Reum to the hotel. He tells her to take a break and promises to bring the car to her.
