In the 19-20th episodes of Ever Night Chinese Drama Recap, Ning Que decides to take the test of the second floor to become Fu Zi’s personal student, since Long Qing shames Sang Sang. Yan Se wants Ning Que to be his student after knowing he can use mind power.
Ever Night Chinese Drama Recap: Episode 19

Huashan Yue is drunk, Li Yu asks her follower to send him home. Long Qing thinks people in Tang Empire are not good drinker. Sang Sang drinks 5 altars of wine, Li Yu asks Long Qing to challenge Sang Sang. But Cheng Lixue thinks Li Yu didn’t respect Long Qing. Li Yu argues that she didn’t invite them.
Long Qing praises Sang Sang and wants to grant her a reward. Cheng Lixue asks Sang Sang to sleep with Long Qing, but Ning Que is against it. Long Qing thinks Ning Que missed his friendship, but Ning Que thinks Long Qing isn’t qualified to own Sang Sang. He asks Long Qing if sock has hole, Long Qing denies. Sang Sang argues with Long Qing.

Long Qing thinks Ning Que doesn’t have ability to protect Sang Sang, and appoints to challenge at the second floor. Ning Que sneers at Long Qing and leaves. Long Qing thinks he didn’t get any respect, Cheng Lixue thinks Li Yu arranged Sang Sang to shame Long Qing. Long Qing asks Cheng Lixue to investigate Sang Sang’s background.
Li Yu praises Ning Que but points out he doesn’t have any friend at academy. He doesn’t care. She asks him to defeat Long Qing and land the second floor. Chong Ming doesn’t want Long Qing land the second floor as well, because he wants to get the throne.
Ning Que gets breakfast for Chen Pipi and asks him to leak the subject. But Chen Pipi doesn’t agree to cheat for him, and reveals Fu Zi prefers character of student. Ning Que writes out what Chen Pipi said.

Li Hunyuan complains to Li Yu that Huashan Yue bullies him each day. She sees his wounds and is sad. She scolds Huashan Yue, but he thinks Li Hunyuan needs more training, and persuades her to get along with Emperor Tang.
Ning Que thinks of the test and isn’t confident at all, Sang Sang persuades him to become Fu Zi’s personal student and takes revenge Zhuo Er. Long Qing sees off Chong Ming and persuades him to give up Li Yu. Chong Ming swears not to fight with Long Qing.
Ever Night Chinese Drama Recap: Episode 20
The next day, Long Qing and students arrive at the test place. Ning Que isn’t confident and takes Sang Sant to walk around the flower sea. Yu Lian passes by and persuades him to give up the test, promise to get him a teacher who is stronger than swordmaster Liu Bai. Ning Que is interested in it, but he wants to examine his training. Yu Lian has to give up.

The subject is given by Fu Zi. The students require to land the mountain nearby academy and takes the gourd which is hung on the tree. Sang Sang thinks the test is too easy. The students begin to climb the mountain but they’re tired soon. Cao Zhifeng asks Ning Que if he made the decision, Ning Que says yes.
Xie Chengyun and other students arrive at the stone formation of the fourth teacher Fan Yuebu. The students are hurt by the sharp stones. Long Qing breaks the formation with his realm.
Ning Que arrives at the border and remembers there was a pavilion, but he doesn’t find it. Chen Pipi persuades Ning Que to give up, but Ning Que asks him to help him cheat again. Chen Pipi rejects it and reminds him the pain under feet.
Ning Que tolerates the pain of his feet to climb, the teacher sets up the cloud and fog formation. He is hurt by the nail formation, Long Qing walks out of the formation. Ning Que has to cheer himself up. Sang Sang walks into the cloud and fog formation. She opens her umbrella, the formation disappears.
The fifth and the sixth teachers talk about how to increase difficulty to students, and cast stones on the road. The students try their best to avoid it and scream. Some of them give up. Ning Que walks in front of them.
Li Qingshan doesn’t want Long Qing to win and complains to Yan Se. Yan Se tells Li Qingshan to calm down, but Li Qingshan reveals the person wrote the chicken soup climbed the mountain.
Ning Que arrives at mountaintop but he doesn’t find the tree. He is furious. Sang Sang arrives at mountaintop and calls Ning Que. But Jun Mo stops her. She is furious to bite him.
Yan Se asks Li Qingshan to investigate Ning Que and finds out he can use mind art and is emperor’s dark bodyguard. Yan Se wants to get Ning Que to be his student. Long Qing arrives at the door, and he needs to write out the last word of “gentleman doesn’t fight”.
He writes out the right word, the door opens. He arrives at the 12 stairs, and each stair reminds him his past to test the devil in his mind. Chen Pipi sees Jun Mo staying with Sang Sang. She knows Jun Mo is the second teacher.
