This is the recap for House of Ninjas: Episode 5. Haru pulls Karen to save her before she’s hit by the train. She finds out that he’s hugging her. She pushes him away. She thinks he was the one who stole her flower and her article when he persuades her to leave.
House of Ninjas Episode 5 Recap: Haru Takes Karen Home
Note: From here on out there are specific plot spoilers for House of Ninjas: Episode 5.
Karen grabs Haru’s collar. She asks him to tell her the truth. He asks her to trust him. Soichi is on the way home with Yoko and Nagi when he drives the car. He asks Nagi what she was doing in the factory. She reveals she thought the ninja was Gaku. But she was fooled. She apologizes to her father.
Soichi stops his car when the ninja blocks their way. The ninja tells Soichi that Kotaro thanked him for saving his life. He tells him to go to ask his son about it if he has any question. The ninja disappears. Riku opens the door of the hidden room.
He walks into the room. He finds a basement. He turns on the lights. She sees the ninja paintings on the wall and a ninja helmet. He opens another door. He’s startled by the armor. Taki shows up behind him before he takes the sword. She walks to him. She reveals it’s a ninjas house.
Soichi returns home with Yoko and Nagi. He looks for Haru in the house. But he finds out that his son took a lady home. The lady is Karen. Karen introduces herself to Soichi. But he takes Haru to another room. He blames him for taking a lady home.
Haru explains it to his father that Karen was attacked by Fumas. He finds out that Hamashima visited them with Oki. He tries to take Karen to flee. But Hamashima takes Oki to the house. They close the door of the house. Haru lets Karen hide under the table.
He tells her that they will be killed if Hamashima finds them. Hamashima shows up. He asks Haru about Karen. Haru tells a lie to Hamashima that he and Karen are over. Taki and Riku are looking at Hattori Hanzo’s painting in the basement.
Taki tells Riku that Hattori Hanzo is his ancestor. She reveals his real family name is Hattori. She tells him that Fumas are their enemies. He is excited after knowing he’s a ninja. But she tells him to call himself shinobi. They pass by the mask.
Taki reveals Hattori Hanzo got the mask after he defeated Hojo Clan and Fuma Clan. She doesn’t know where the Fumas went. Tsujioka sits in front of the mask. He lets the members to drink the holy water. The members drink the holy water. They’re poisoned and twitching when they lie on the ground. Tsujioka tells the people that only the chosen one can be the real Fuma.
Hamashima has a meeting with the ninja family. Oki tells the people that Fumas created Gentenkai for hiding themselves. He reveals the Fumas disappeared when they arrived their base. He doesn’t know where they went. Oki’s pen drops.
Karen picks the pen up. She throws it to him foot. His smile is frozen when he sees his pen. He picks his pen up. He shows the photo of the yellow flower to the people. He reveals the flower contains toxin which cannot be treated.
Hamashima believes that Tsujioka is behind the flower when he looks at Tsujioka’s photo. He tells Soichi that his son helped them look into the case. Soichi asks Haru if he made a contract with Hamashima. Haru admits it. Soichi mentions what the Fuma told him that Haru saved Tsujioka’s life.
Haru admits that he didn’t kill Tsujioka when he had a chance. He adds that Tsujioka was the one who killed Gaku. Hamashima believes that Haru’s weakness created 19th Kotaro. Soichi stops Hamashima because he thinks it’s a family matter.
Riku shows up. He tells the people that he has known that he’s a ninja. Soichi realizes that Taki told it to Riku. But Taki reveals Riku figured it out on his own. Yoko takes a look at the hidden room. She finds out that the door of the room is opened.
Riku asks his parents why they concealed the secret from him. He’s furious to run away. Yoko and Soichi go to chase Riku. Nagi tells Haru that it wasn’t his mistake. Soichi and Yoko are outside Riku’s room. Soichi explains it to Riku that he did it because he worried that he will put him in danger.
Riku wishes to be a ninja. But his parents tell him that he cannot eat the hamburger he loves. Riku decides to give up his hamburger because she wishes to join his family. He opens the door. He begs his parents to let him be a ninja.
Soichi agrees to it when he strokes his son’s head. Riku is excited. Nagi tries to leave. But Taki stops her when she shows up from the shadow. She thinks she was the one who stole the scroll. Nagi apologizes to Taki. But Taki asks Nagi not to tell it to anyone.
Nagi realizes that the scroll isn’t the real one. Taki doesn’t give Nagi an answer. She smiles to walk away. Ayame runs to Tsujioka. She hands over the scroll to him. But he burns the scroll. He tells her that she was fooled. He asks her if she wants to kill her. It makes her nervous.
She turns around and she sees Sawabe. He glares at Tsujioka. Tsujioka learns that Sawabe came to take revenge. He asks him to kill him. Sawabe casts the dart to Tsujioka. But Tsujioka isn’t hurt. Sawabe runs away. Oki walks out of Soichi’s house with Hamashima. He reports to Hamashima that Matsuura has been sent to the headquarters.
He reveals the cop Omi was caught. Omi wakes up. He’s wronged to steal the artifact. The policewoman runs to the police car when Omi is arrested in the car. She asks him what happened. He tells her to forget the case. She’s confused. The cop pushes her aside. Omi leaves with the cops.
Riku helps Karen prepare the cover in the room. He tells her that he feels happy for her coming because he has no friends. Yoko pays her respect to Gaku. She joins Soichi. She mentions Haru. She thinks they’re bad parents because they pretended nothing happened. The pigeon shows up.
Haru stays in his room alone. Karen walks into his room. He asks her to stay in his house so that she will be safe. She agrees to it. She turns on the light. She thinks he’s a ninja. He admits it and he reveals he broke the rule for taking her home.
He mentions he’s not allowed to date a girl. But she points out that he asked her out. She confesses it to him that she went to the restaurant for looking into him. She tells him that she liked him. He tells her that he liked her as well.
She sits with him on the bed. She learns that he didn’t have any girlfriend. She wonders how did his parents get married. He reveals his parents’ marriage was arranged. He wishes to choose the girl he loves. She kisses him. He reveals they will be killed if they’re caught. But he kisses her back. Taki watches the couple from her room.
Kuze takes Matsuura to the headquarters. He reports to Hamashima that Matsuura didn’t say anything. Hamashima believes that the professor will let Matsuura speak. Hamashima and Matsuura are in the car. The masked ninjas break into the car. They kill Hamashima.
The chief ninja unties Matsuura. Matsuura thanks the chief ninja when he thinks he’s the god Tsujioka. But the chief ninja puts his sword on Matsuura’s neck when he thinks he leaked something. He reveals Kotaro sent them to kill him because Kotaro worried he leaked something.

Episode 5 of House of Ninjas ends with Matsuura revealing he didn’t tell the solar eclipse to those people. The dead Hamashima gets up. He praises the two ninjas. The ninjas take off their masks. We find out that they’re Soichi and Yoko. Matsuura is stunned. Soichi and Yoko leave. Hamashima thinks about solar eclipse.
Soichi and Yoko are on the way home. Soichi tells Yoko that she was pretty when she saved Nagi. She’s close to him. She gives him a kiss. They kiss in the van. The kid is shocked when she watches it. Nagi is on the beach. She remembers she and Gaku had fun on the beach. She cries. Riku runs in the yard. Haru watches his younger brother. Soichi joins Haru. Yoko lets the two men have some tea. Gaku is on the way home. He trips. The ambulance saves him.
