People see Yuan Zheng killing Zhu Xie, and realize that he became a demon. Madam Yuan doesn’t believe that her son would become demon, and she sees Jiu Chen promising to protect Yuan family but kills Yuan Zheng.

Qing Yao thinks Madam Yuan asked for hopeless path through forcing Jiu Chen, and Jiu Chen carries Ling Xi to leave.
Qing Yao shares that Ling Xi’s root was hurt and she cannot get promoted. Jiu Chen thanks Qing Yao, and she says that Ling Xi is her sister. Yun Feng wants to walk Qing Yao home, but she wants to take care of Ling Xi.
Yun Feng reminds Qing Yao that Jiu Chen will take care of Ling Xi, but she thinks he doesn’t want her to stay at Fuyun palace. He denies and claims that he wants to have a talk with her.
Si Ming tells Qing Yao that he is sick, but Yun Feng thinks he is sick more than Si Ming, and chases Qing Yao. Yun Feng wants to confess to Qing Yao, but she disappears. Shi San blames Si Ming for not saving her at the honor palace, and he explains that he informed Jiu Chen.
Shi San thinks it’s not the thing men should do, and Si Ming points out that he cannot defeat them. She says that she would take action when she sees him being bullied, but he thinks it’s foolish when she cannot beat them yet she still fights them. She says that it’s because of liking.
Shi San thinks it’s impossible for her to find a good marriage with outside tribes as a mermaids, but Si Ming doesn’t think so. He says that they are not compatible, and reveals he has many pressure when they walk side by side together.
Shi San thinks it’s an excuse, and Si Ming says that when the feeling isn’t right, the person isn’t right too, and he doesn’t have the feeling on her. She tears up and regrets that she didn’t show him as a female when she saw him first time. She says that she would get bullied if she wasn’t tough.
Shi San mentions she wouldn’t be changed to a female if she didn’t like him. She promises not to tangle Si Ming, but asks him to take her to take a look at the mortal ladies. He tells her to visit his palace to check it.
Si Ming leaves, and Shi San blames him for his leaving. She takes out the love book and has a read. Jiu Chen takes care of Ling Xi, and Hua Yan reports that Du Yu visited. Du Yu asks Jiu Chen to save Yuan Tong and Yuan family, and Jiu Chen asks Du Yu if he and Yuan Tong knew the truth early.
Du Yu admits it and reveals that Yuan Tong wanted to tell the truth but he stopped her. Ling Xi is fast to return to the bed when Jiu Chen comes back. He tells her not to pretend it, and gives her the medicine bottle.
Ling Xi finds out that there is only one pill, and thinks Jiu Chen is very petty. He reveals that there were only three pills in the world, and he has used two pills. Ling Xi wants to keep the pill, but Jiu Chen asks her to take it.
Jiu Chen asks Ling Xi why she went to the wash immortal pond, and she reveals Yuan Tong pushed her into the pond for robbing the war report. Ling Xi wants to punish Yuan Tong for not eating for centenary, and it makes Jiu Chen laugh.
Jiu Chen takes Ling Xi to see Yuan Tong, and punishes Yuan Tong. Cheng Yan mistakes Hua Liao as a herb, and pulls her out of the soil. He takes her home then. Qing Yao tells Jiu Chen to seal his magic for curing his illness, and Yun Feng thinks it’s a good idea. But Jiu Chen glares at Yun Feng.
Yun Feng tells Jiu Chen that he fell for someone, and wants to tell him about his plan. But Jiu Chen disappears. Qing Yao drinks and misses her lover, who combed her hair. She tears up while taking the comb.
Tian Lei asks Heavenly Emperor to punish Yuan family, but Du Yu is against it.
