This is the Recap & Ending for Love Between Fairy and Devil: Episode 23. Jie Li reports to Orchid that Xiao Run posted five hundred portraits of her in the city. Dongfang Qingcang blames Jie Li for not making Xiao Run and Xie Wanqing meet.
Why Dongfang Qingcang Dresses up Orchid to be an Ugly Girl?

Dongfang Qingcang tells Jie Li that he will send her to dig stones if Xiao Wanqing fails to take trial. Orchid tells Dongfang Qingcang not to scold Jie Li. She points out that Xie Wanqing fell for him because of his charm. She glares at him and wants to have a fight with him.
Jie Li comforts Dongfang Qingcang and Orchid. She tells them not to worry about it. She kicks Shang Que and tells him to persuade Dongfang Qingcang. But he blames her for using Qu Shui. He asks her why she’s interested in Qu Shui.

Jie Li tells Shang Que that she did it because Qu Shui is silly like his master. Dongfang Qingcang stops the two’s argument. Orchid wants to explain it to Xiao Run in person. Dongfang Qingcang is against it. He thinks he will drink Orchid and Xiao Run’s wedding wine if he lets her go to see Xiao Run.
Dongfang Qingcang dresses up Orchid to be an ugly girl. He thinks Xiao Run won’t fall for her. Jie Li walks Orchid. She tells her that Xiao Run will have nightmare after he sees her looks. Dongfang Qingcang asks Orchid if she remembers what he said.
Orchid nods. She promises to make Xiao Run’s feelings disappear. She tries to leave. But he stops her and tells her not to be urgent. She explains that she did it for Xiao Run’s trial. She asks him if he still doesn’t believe that she doesn’t like Xiao Run after she sacrificed herself. He tells her to let Xiao Run wait for her for a while so that he won’t like her.
Dongfang Qingcang walks Orchid out of the house. He tells her not to smile at Xiao Run. She asks him if he worries about her. She tries to leave. He stops her and hangs the food bag on her neck. She goes to see Xiao Run. He calls her fairy in the painting after he saw her looks.
Orchid scolds Xiao Run. She asks him why he stares at her. He tells her that she looks very beautiful with the makeup. Dongfang Qingcang wonders if Xiao Run has eye illness. Jie Li thinks Xiao Run did it because he likes Orchid.
Orchid blames Xiao Run for posting her portrait in the city. She thinks it’s ugly. He agrees to what she said. He intends to paint it again with her current looks. She rejects it. She has a seat on the floor. She begins to pinch her leg. He’s happy to sit with her. He pinches his leg like her.
Love Between Fairy and Devil: Episode 23 Ending
Episode 23 of Love Between Fairy and Devil ends with Orchid complaining that Xiao Run wants to marry her and Xiao Wanqing wants to marry Dongfang Qingcang. Jie Li believes that Xiao Run will kill Xie Wanqing at the wedding night. Dongfang Qingcang points out that what Xiao Wanqing wants to marry is him.
