Queen of Tears Episode 1 begins with the wedding of Hae-In and Hyun-Woo. They’re very happy because they think they find their happiness. Hyun-Woo gets an interview. He tells the reporter that he thinks he’s a very lucky man. Hae-In cuts apples with a knife when the reporters interview her. It startles them.

Hae-In tells the reporters that she knew Hyun-Woo had feelings for her after he helped her fix the photocopier. But Hyun-Woo reveals he just worried about the machine because Hae-In kept kicking it. He admits that he fell for the beauty after he helped her many times.
It flashes back. Hyun-Woo takes Hae-In to the hallway. He tells her that he worries that she will be fired. He reveals his heart jumped when she was scolded by her leader. She asks him to think about why his heart jumped. She leaves the hallway.
Hae-In is going to leave the company. Hyun-Woo hands over his umbrella to her. He thinks she kept making him worry about her. He tells her that he wishes to raise her. He confesses his feelings to her. He runs away. She sees him running in the rain. She reveals she has a driver. The driver comes. Hae-In smiles when she looks at Hyun-Woo’s umbrella.
Hyun-Woo finds out that Hae-In is a rich girl. He resigned and returns home. Hae-In texts Hyun-Woo and she asks him to come out when he lies in the bed. He walks out of his house. He sees a helicopter. Hae-In gets off the helicopter. She asks Hyun-Woo if he’s going to let her stand there. It makes him run to her. He gives her a hug.
Hyun-Woo remembers the past. He thinks Hae-In was an angel. It makes the report believe that Hae-In isn’t an angel in Hyun-Woo’s heart anymore. Hyun-Woo denies it. He claims that he’s very happy. But Hyun-Woo’s friend Yang-Ki reveals Hyun-Woo is going to get a divorce when he talks with the lawyers outside the court. He thinks the guy is crazy.
Hae-In arrives at her department store. The secretary reports to her that the president of Royal Department Store is going to join the One Trillion Club. Hae-In decides to cut off the brands. She has a meeting with the directors. The director reports to her that Hyun-Woo was against it when he planned to cut off the brands.
Hae-In summons Hyun-Woo when he’s having a meeting. He goes to see her. She asks him to cut off the brands. She tells him that it’s an order. They run into each other in the elevator. She asks him to be nice to the one who’s close to him.
But he points out that they’re not close. He asks her for a talk. She agrees to it. She gets off the elevator. He waits for her at the lounge. But she doesn’t come. He returns to his office to print the divorce agreement. He receives a message from her. She asks him to come to the family room.
Hyun-Woo walks into the family room. Sun-Hwa blames him for his late. Hae-In takes her husband’s side. She explains it to Sun-Hwa that she texted Hyun-Woo late. But Sun-Hwa points out that Hyun-Woo knew they have a family meeting. Hyun-Woo apologizes to Sun-Hwa.
Grace Go introduces the interview to Beom-Joon. Soo-Cheol reveals Hae-In and Hyun-Woo had a fight in the meeting room. Hae-In drops the cup on the table to stop Soo-Cheol. Sun-Hwa asks Hyun-Woo to have a baby with Hae-In. But Beom-Joon tells his wife not to put pressure on Hyun-Woo. He wishes to meet with his granddaughter.
Hae-In tries to return to her room. But Hyun-Woo stops her. Because he thinks they should have a talk. He mentions he will go overseas if he has a baby with her. She thinks it’s good that he’s going to raise the baby with others. It makes him believe that she doesn’t want to have a baby. She gets a call from Secretary Na. She talks about the interview with her. Hyun-Woo throws a fit to his wife. He tells her to do the interview alone. He’s furious to leave because he thinks their love is a lie.
Soo-Cheol talks with someone over the phone outside. He thinks he should tell others that he donated some money. Hae-In hits his head from his back. She grabs his hand and she beats him. She tells him to respect her husband. She walks away. He gets angry because he knows she bullied her husband as well.
Hyun-Woo practices the baseball alone. He drinks with Yang-Gi outside. He’s drunk. He reveals Hae-In thought he was cute. But he cries. He thinks he ruined his life because he acted cute in front of Hae-In. Yang-Gi plans to take Hyun-Woo home.
But Hyun-Woo thinks some people will do the job for Yang-Gi. Yang-Gi sees two guys eating nearby them. He notes that they stand up when Hyun-Woo stands up. Hyun-Woo complains to Yang-Gi that there was nobody helping him. Yang-Gi believes that his wife won’t throw a fit to him if he owns a building.
Hyun-Woo is drunk to walk on the street when he sings a song. The two guys follow him. He tells them to leave. But they hide in the woods. Hyun-Woo returns home when Hae-In waits for him in her room. He tries to open the door but he leaves. She uses her laptop to watch his photos. She finds out that he smiles in the photo.
Hyun-Woo visits the police station. The lawyers talk about him. They think he’s a butler of Queens Group. He meets with Beom-Ja in the jail. She wishes to leave the place. She reveals she grabbed Seul-Hee’s hair because she mistook that the lady reported her.
But she wants to take revenge for Seul-Hee because she thinks the lady is related to the death of her mother. She mentions she took revenge for her three ex-husbands. But he thinks she did it too much. She asks him to help her leave the place because the anniversary of her mother’s death is going to come.
Episode 1 of Queen of Tears ends with Hyun-Woo walking into Hae-In’s room with the divorce agreement when it’s raining outside. He tells her that he’s going to tell something to her. But she reveals she’s going to die. She mentions what the doctor told her that she only has three months left.
