Tomorrow K-Drama: Episode 1 Recap

Ryung-Gu tells Koo Ryeon that he just worries the people she’s going to deal with. She gets into the van and drives it. The people are scared when she drives. Koo Ryeon tells them that they will get killed if they’re startled. She remembers she cried and a women walked to her.
Koo Ryeon parks the van on the broken bridge. She asks the people to make a choice. They choose to be alive. Ryung-Gu smiles after he watched the footage Koo Ryeon sent to him.
Fallen Flower
Jun-Woong gets an interview. He tells the interviewers that he will work hard. He calls Mom and tells her that he will pass the interview. She feels happy and wants prepare the meal for him. But he’s told that he got rejected. He tries to drink outside the convenience store. But the drinks is taken away by Jae-Soo.
Jun-Woong doesn’t dare to pick up Mom’s phone. He walks on the bridge and tells the heaven that he needs a job. He runs into a man who wants to jump off the bridge. He tries to stop him. But Koo Ryeon rushes to Jun-Woong and kicks him away.
The man blames Koo Ryeon for stopping him. He thinks he has no choice but dies. She points out that death won’t resolve his issue. She tells him that he will get more pain if he chooses to die. Jun-Woong yells at Koo Ryeon and blames her for kicking him. She tells him to leave. But he rejects it and holds her arm.
Koo Ryeon takes off Jun-Woong’s hand. He falls off the bridge with the man after he tried to save him. Koo Ryeon jumps into the water to save Jun-Woong. Jun-Woong wakes up and sees his body. He’s scared and thinks he’s dead. But Koo Ryeon tells him that he’s just in a coma. She adds that the director wants to see him. She gives him a new body and a new clothes.
Koo Ryeon takes Jun-Woong to the director’s office. She tells him that she doesn’t want to see him again. King of Heaven hands over the milk to Jun-Woong. He asks her what the King of Heaven looks like. She gets changed. He’s startled by her looks.
Joong-Gil goes to the nightclub to beat Chi-Wook. Chi-Wook is startled after he saw his body. Joong-Gil tells Chi-Wook that he’s going to go the the hell. He tells the follower to take Chi-Wook away. He’s told that the director wants to see him.
Joong-Gil meets with Koo Ryeon. He thinks she shouldn’t save the people who wanted to take his life. King of Heaven tells Jun-Woong to work for her. She promises to let him wake up within six months. He rejects it and thinks it’s just a dream.
King of Heaven lets Jun-Woong see his mom pass out in front of him when she takes care of him. He agrees to be a Grim Reaper. She walks out of her office. She tells Jun-Woong that Koo Ryeon won’t fail again. Koo Ryeon tells King of Heaven that she needs a follower. King of Heaven smiles.
Jun-Woong sees Joong-Gil. He wants to join his team because he thinks the team members are outstanding. But King of Heaven rejects it. They run into Koo Ryeon and Ryung-Gu. Koo Ryeon tries to leave. King of Heaven stops her and tells her to take Jun-Woong.
Koo Ryeon rejects it. King of Heaven asks Ryung-Gu to write a reporter about their failure. Ryung-Gu convinces Koo Ryeon to keep Jun-Woong. Koo Ryeon saves Eun-Bi from the street. She tells Jun-Woong that she’s the Grim Reaper who saves people.
But Ryung-Gu thinks Koo Ryeon should use her power because there’s many cameras on the street. She promises to write a report. Ryung-Gu shows his phone to Jun-Woong. He thinks the girl wants to take his life. Jun-Woong doesn’t believe it. His eyes are fixed when he sees the pretty girls.
Eun-Bi smiles when she looks at herself in the mirror. She returns to the office and she becomes nervous after she read the webtoon. The superior gives a task to Eun-Bi. Eun-Bi rejects it. She tells him that she prefers to die. He tells her to die after she completes the work.
Koo Ryeon notes that Eun-Bi is nervous when they interview Hye-Won. Eun-Bi rushes to the restroom after Hye-Won said something. Eun-Bi laughs in the restroom. Koo Ryeon hears it. She thinks something happened between Eun-Bi and Hye-Won. She tells Ryung-Gu to go to look into them.
Ryung-Gu returns and he hands over the key to Koo Ryeon. She gets into Eun-Bi’s memory with Jun-Woong. Eun-Bi cries to wipe off the texts from the blackboard because the classmates think she’s ugly. The space begins to distort. Koo Ryeon runs away with Jun-Woong. They get on a subway. Jun-Woong sees Eun-Bi smiling when she watches the footage. But the subway begins to ruin.
Epilogue
Koo Ryeon buys a hoodie. She feels happy but the hoodie is worn by Jun-Woong. She finds the guy who sold the hoodie to her at the Internet Cafe. She beats him.
What Happened to Jun-Woong?
Jun-Woong tries to save the man who wants to take his life. But he falls into the water with him. Koo Ryeon saves him. But he’s in a coma and he will wake up after three years. So she takes him to see King of Heaven. She wishes King of Heaven can save the guy. King of Heaven tells Jun-Woong to work for her. She promises to let him wake up within six months.
But Jun-Woong rejects it. Because he thinks it will be good to sleep for six months. King of Heaven lets him see his mom dying in front of him when she takes care of him. He has to agree to be a Grim Reaper. She has a meeting with the gods. Koo Ryeon asks King of Heaven for the follower after the meeting.
Which Team Jun-Woong Joined?
Jun-Woong sees Joong-Gil walking in the lobby with his team members. He asks King of Heaven about the team. King of Heaven introduces the team as the best team to Jun-Woong. It makes him want to join it. But King of Heaven tells him that it won’t happen.
King of Heaven tells Koo Ryeon to take Jun-Woong to do the task. She mentions she asked for the follower. But Koo Ryeon tells King of Heaven that she cannot accept the half-and-half. King of Heaven tells Koo Ryeon to write an apology letter to her, explaining why she failed.
Ryung-Gu reminds Koo Ryeon that the team will get disbanded if King of Heaven doesn’t support them. He adds that she will be sent to the hell. She agrees to keep Jun-Woong.
What’s Koo Ryeon’s Job?
Koo Ryeon is the Grim Reaper who saves people when Joong-Gil sends people to hell. They have fights frequently. King of Heaven plays a role to balance them.
Koo Ryeon takes Jun-Woong to the room. She tells him not to do anything. She mentions the trouble he brought to them. But he believes that he saved the man. She tells him that she will kill him if he continues to talk about it to her.
Ryung-Gu tries to help Jun-Woong. But Koo Ryeon tells him that she will put him and Jun-Woong on the hell train. The three are on the street. Ryung-Gu tells Koo Ryeon that it’s the place where Eun-Bi works. Eun-Bi tries to cross the street. But she gets bumped by the fans.
The guy rides the motorcycle to rush to Eun-Bi when she’s picking up her books. Jun-Woong tries to run to save Eun-Bi. But Koo Ryeon stops him and the motorcycle. She walks to Eun-Bi and moves the motorcycle aside. She tells Jun-Woong that she’s the Grim Reaper who saves people.
Why Gods in the Heaven Hate Koo Ryeon?
Because Koo Ryeon is the god who came from hell. She’s very sympathetic to the people who want to commit suicide. The god watches the footage that Koo Ryeon saved the people. He mentions she came from hell. She tells the gods to blame King of Heaven instead of her. Because King of Heaven was the one who saved her from the hell. Joong-Gil tells Koo Ryeon not to save the people who wants to die.
Did King of Heaven take Koo Ryeon’s side or Joong-Gil’s Side?
King of Heaven takes Koo Ryeon’s side. Because she knows the heaven realm will ruin if many people die. But most of the gods agree to Joong-Gil’s plan. She has to send Jun-Woong to help Koo Ryeon even if he’s a troublemaker.
King of Heaven tells the god that she will disband Koo Ryeon’s team if she fails again. The gods ignore Koo Ryeon and walk out of the meeting room.
