Queen Dugu Chinese Drama Recap: Episode 1

In the first period of Bei Zhou empire, Prime minister Yuwen Hu dominates the court and gets his cousin Yuwen Yu to be the puppet emperor. He kills the people who disagree him, and gets complaints.
The court decides to promote Buddhism and holds the Buddha bath festival. The Prince Yang Jian and his brothers Yang Zang and Yang Shuang go to pay respect for buddha, and run into princess Dugu Jialuo who dresses up to be a male.
She pulls down the rice bag from the sheet, and gets her in the danger. Yang Jian saves her. The elder son of Yuwen Hu, Yuwen Hui kidnaps the beautiful women at the street. Dugu Jialuo cannot stand it and rides the horse to chase. Yang Jian follows her with two masks.
They arrive at Yuwen Hui’s house. Dugu Jialuo sets fire to draw people away. Yang Jian catches Yuwen Hui and asks him to slap himself. Yuwen Hui doesn’t know Yang Jian’s identity because of the mask, but he remembers the jade pendant. He is intention to backstab him, but Dugu Jialuo arrives and saves Yang Jian. The woman they saved thanks them, and Dugu Jialuo returns her real gender. She proves the justice doesn’t belong to male only. Yang Jian is stunned and asks for her name, but she left.
Yuwen Hui gets scolded by Yuwen Hu because he will be ended if Dugu Xin finds the two criminals Yuwen Hui escorted. There are only two persons can be against Yu Wen Hui, they’re Zhao Gui and Dugu Xin. Dugu Xin even looked into printing money. The follower offers to get rid of Dugu Xin. Yuwen Hu asks Xiao Zuo to find Dugu Xin’s mistake, and makes him justifiable to die.
Dugu Xin and Zhao Gui want to get rid of Yuwen Hu with the witnesses. But they are flustered as the witnesses disappear. Zhao Gui offers to get rid of Yuwen Hu directly, but Dugu Xin is afriad of the consequence. Zhao Gui is furious to leave because Dugu Xin is too merciful. The follower offers to unite with Yang Zhong. Dugu Xin decides to marry Dugu Jialuo to Yang Zhong’s elder son Yang Jian.
Yang Zhong tells Yang Jian about the marriage. But Yang Jian still thinks of the woman dressing up to be male. He visits the temple, and is told that Dugu Jialuo is his best match. Before he leaves, Dugu Jialuo walks her mother to visit temple. But they miss each other. Jia Luo still thinks of the prince Yuwen Yong, even if he gets married.
She is upset and drinks in the bar. She fights with some cheaters. Yang Jian passes by and saves her again, and asks for the soup to cure her hangover and waits for her waking. But she doesn’t tell him her name again when he asks her.
They go on the blind date. Yang Jian thrills when knowing his fiance is Dugu Jialuo. But she asks him to only love her in his life.
Queen Dugu Chinese Drama Recap: Episode 2

Yang Jian visits Dugu family with dowry. Dugu Jialuo’s sister, the Empress wants to see his power before giving her sister to him. Dugu Jialuo challenges Yang Jian with the drum dancing, and falls for him.
Yuwen Hu invites Dugu Xin and Zhao Guo to his house, and asks them to confess with the liquor. Zhao Gui complains to Yuwen Hu about his sins, and threatens to kill him. Yuwen Hu fakes the evidence and kills Zhao Gui in his house, and wrongs Dugu Xin to be Zhao Gui’s partner. Dugu Xin is sent to jail.
Yuwen Hu sends Yuwen Hui to arrest all of people in Dugu family, Dugu Jialuo’s mother tells her to flee from the back door. The rest of people get arrested. Dugu Jialuo wants to save her father, so Yang Jian takes her to see Dugu Xin in the jail.
Dugu Xin knows Yuwen Hu won’t forgive him, and asks Yang Jian to take care of his daughter. He tells Dugu Jialuo to look into Yuwen Hu and finds the evidence to kick him out.
Yuwen Hu asks Yuwen Hui to arrest the fled Dugu Jialuo. Yang Jian takes her to conceal at the grove, but they’re spotted by Yuwen Hui’s followers.
