This is first episode of Sketch Korean Drama, Dong Soo runs into Shi Hyun while he arrests murderer Hee Chul, and finds out his fiance Ji Soo is going to die according to the notebook Shi Hyun left.
Sketch Korean Drama Recap: Episode 1
A woman is drawing someone, saying that someone will die tonight. Dong Soo gets a call from Gyung Tae who asks him where he is. Prosecutor Min Ji Soo robs Gyung Tae’s phone, and asks Dong Soo to come to her. He tells her that they receive wrong message about Hee Chul, and thinks she won’t catch him if she follows the tip. But she asks for evidence. He takes a photo of Hee Chul and his followers, and sends to Ji Soo. She asks him not to action alone.
The woman Shi Hyun finds the ship according her drawing. Hee Chul asks his followers to throw his double body to sea, but the double body doesn’t want to die for him. Dong Soo show up at the ship, Hee Chul asks him how did he find them. He asks his followers to attack him with sticks when Dong Soo says that he is going to arrest him. Dong Soo pulls out his gun, and says that it was filled up with bullets. But a thug hits him with stick, the gun is moved to somewhere.
Dong Soo fights with thugs, and defeats them. But Hee Chul flees. Just then the double body picks Dong Soo’s gun, and points to him, saying that he needs money to save his daughter. Just then Shi Hyun shows up, and introduces herself as an angel. She puts the double body down, when telling him that he doesn’t release the safety. Then she asks Dong Soo to chase Hee Chul when he is still standing there, and begs the double body not to jump over sea. But he jumps when thinking about his daughter. Shi Hyun catches him from falling, and tells him that he needs to fight with his daughter for illness instead of skip reality. Meanwhile, Dong Soo lands the ship when Hee Chul wants to drive it away. He defeats his follower, but gets hit by Hee Chul from back. Hee Chul tells him that he likes the TV show “The kingdom of animals”, and thinks weak should be bullied by strong. But Dong Soo laughs, and says that “The kingdom of animals” is about predator and prey live together. He throws Hee Chul into water.
Dong Soo asks Gyung Tae if he saw a woman after cleaning up the scene. He denies, and thinks he saw a ghost. Dong Soo finds the lighting Shi Hyun left while fights with the double body at ship. Meanwhile, she draws another drawing, and put him down to flee. He picks up the drawing book she left, and takes it to his office. Ji Soo tells him that she worries about him, and shows the ring with D and J.
Dong Soo finds out Shi Hyun arrives at the scene before the incident takes place, according to her Sketch and the incident footage. Gyung Tae thinks she is a psychic. Dong Soo burns Shi Hyun’s notebook in front of her after she didn’t tell him who she is. She tells him that the notebook is important than he thinks. He reveals that the ring in the sketch she drew is worn by his fiance. She calls Captain Moon, and says that she found the second victim, asking Dong Soo to trust her.
She takes him into her office, he realizes that she is a cop when her colleague calls her as Corporal Yoo. Then he sees Moon Jae Hyun who is known in Korean Police. Jae Hyun introduces Lieutenant Oh Young Shim to him, and says that she won the worldwide police hacking competition three years in a row. Young Shim says that she won four years in a row, and reveals she stopped competing because it was boring. Shi Hyun introduces herself as Corporal Yoo Shi Hyun to Dong Soo, and reveals the place is a newly formed special investigation team. Jae Hyun tells him that the team is specialized in preventing crimes. Dong Soo wants to hear more about the sketches in the notebook after Shi Hyun gave it to Young Shim. Shi Hyun asks him to take a look at the board, and reveals that she didn’t draw the sketch after seeing the crime scene, but drew them one to three days before the crime was committed. He thinks he is being punked, and asks if there is camera back there. Jae Hyun tells Dong Soo that it’s hard to accept, but it’s true. Dong Soo thinks they play alone with it is waste of time. Shi Hyun thinks he found her because he thought the woman in the sketch wearing the ring is his fiance, and tells him that they will do their jobs whether he believes them or not. Young Shim shows the sketches to Dong Soo, and says that the first sketch is a pregnancy test, two lines indicate she’s pregnant, but she doesn’t know what the black thing, these sketches show them images of a future crime randomly, the clock is stopped at 6:50, that must the time of crime. Jae Hyun says the images in Shi Hyun’s sketches occur within three days at the latest, there were no cases at 6:50 AM this morning, so the possible time is 6:50 PM this evening, and thinks they have five hours. He asks Dong Soo to work with them on the case, and thinks it will help in preventing the crime, thinking his fiance is involved too. Dong Soo sighs, and touches his face with his hands, wanting to leave, saying that he doesn’t believe what they said, asking Shi Hyun to see a doctor, thinking it isn’t taboo to see a shrink anymore, asking what she thinks he needs to do if he believes what she said, and says that he will stay with Ji Soo, revealing the black thing is an ankle monitor. Jae Hyun asks Shi Hyun if she will just let him go, and thinks it’s not like her. She thinks he will have no choice but to come back.
Young Shim thinks it’s a sex offender since Dong Soo mentioned it’s a ankle monitor, saying that 20% people will commit the crime again. Jae Hyun thinks the broken desk clock looks unique, and asks Shi Hyun if she looks into it. She says that the clock was given out by a bank as a gift, thinking it will be possible to trace who took it. Just then she discovers something, and asks Young Shim zoom in on the male in sketch, finds out the brand of Onesang International, and thinks she works near there. But Young Shim thinks it’s like looking for a needle in a haystack. Shi Hyun says that they have no choice.
Dong Soo tells Ji Soo that she should eat properly when she is eating food from convenience store. She sighs, and says that the case pile up, and there is never enough time, thinking her only choice is to cut down on eating time. He takes a rice from her mouth, and eats it. She thinks he is so sloppy, and kisses him. He looks around, and asks what she is doing, thinking they’re in a public place, asking her to have some modesty. But she thinks no one can judge her for kissing something that belongs to her. He asks her if she is handling the sex offender right now. She denies, but reveals she did indict two sex offenders before, saying that they’re in jail. He asks her to take two days off and spends some time with him. She asks him if he knows how many cases she is in charge of right now. He cannot calculates it, and says that it’s just two days, and asks her a favor. But she thinks he is being way too irrational. He promises to her that he will take the office position after getting married if she does it for him. She laughs, and hugs him with happiness.
Jin Young runs into Soo Young outside the restaurant, after dinner. They’re excited. A guy with glasses is shooting them with camera. Jin Young notices something, but she gets nothing when looking around. Meanwhile, Young Shim and Shi Hyun look for the restaurant in the sketch, but they get nothing. Shi Hyun tells Young Shim that she started foreseeing people’s deaths since she was five years old, and reveals she saw them dying away before they even died, hence it’s hard for her to be an atheist, and the fact of all of people she failed to save haunting her even to this say, revealing that she has been sleeping with lights on for 10 years, asking Young Shim what she thinks she’d cope without believing in a deity, saying that she believes that there is a deity, but she is annoyed by deity.
Jin Young is startled by her boyfriend when she puts ingredients in the refrigerator. She asks him what brings him here, thinking he is going to be late. He says that he is going to go on a business trip, and came to get some stuff. She thinks he didn’t eat, and is going to fix him a meal.
Dong Soo thinks it smells great when Ji Soo is cooking eggs. She thinks he is hungry, and tells him that it won’t take too long, asks him to throw off garbage. He asks her to take the ring off, and thinks it’s weird that she is the only person to wear the engagement ring. But she thinks it’s pretty. He asks her to wear it until his ring comes. She takes off her ring, and put it into her pocket, asking him if he is happy now.
Shi Hyun gets a call from Dong Soo who asks her if they’re close enough to joke around with each other, when she asks him who he is. She thinks he should be more precise about who he if since he called her, and says how she is supposed to know who he is. He apologizes, and asks how things are going. She tells him that she talked to Jae Hyun, reveals there is no one reported it yet. He asks her if her sketches happen within three days, she thinks he doesn’t believe in her sketch. He says that he doesn’t know about it until now, but it will be different this time, and thinks Ji Soo will never die. She says that she hope so, and reveals she does her best to prevent anything from happening, thinking it’d be so much better if he could help. But he hangs up. She thinks he makes it hard for her to like him. Just then Young Shim shows up, and says that she found her. They walk into the restaurant, the owner tells them that the woman was there earlier today, and reveals her name is Lee Jin Young. Shi Hyun asks her if she knows where she works, but the shop owner doesn’t know it.
Jae Hyun asks the doctor to analyze the stuff he gave him. Young Shim gets the face picture of Jin Young. The man wears ankle monitor is looking at Soo Young’s picture. The guys who takes pictures returns, and asks him how his ear is. The man says that it’s fine. The guy asks the man if Jin Young resisted pretty viciously. The man thinks it made it more fun. The guys says that he found new target, and shows the pictures of Soo Young. The man is interested in it after seeing the pictures, and wants to do it at 6:30 tomorrow.

Jin Young is out of mind when takes the pregnancy test kit at washroom, and throws it off. Shi Hyun visits Dong Soo’s house, Ji Soo asks who she is. He says that they worked on a case together a little while ago. Shi Hyun tells Ji Soo that she heard her from Dong Soo, and says he thought his fiance is pretty, kind. He asks Shi Hyun not to beat around the bush. She tells him that she confirmed the identify of the victim of her sketch, and thinks Ji Soo’s life depends on it, saying that the man holds Ji Soo in his arms is him, and asks him to change the future.
He asks Ji Soo to stay at home from now on, she accepts, but asks him to keep his promises before, and tells her the reason later. He accepts, and takes Gyung Tae to protect her, asking her to think Gyung Tae as her secretary. She asks Gyung Tae if he knows Dong Soo’s plan. He denies.
Shi Hyun wants to put Jin Young somewhere, but Dong Soo disagree, and thinks culprit will target another woman if she does that. She thinks he uses her as bait to protect Ji Soo. Shi Hyun and Dong Soo asks Jin Young if stranger follows her. Jin Young tells Shi Hyun that she loves her husband, but she is crazy when Shi Hyun thinks she is pregnant. Shi Hyun realizes that the baby isn’t his husband’s baby, and thinks Jin Young was the link to the next victim.
Soo Young calls her husband Sergeant Kim, and says that she is going to give him a big surprise while holding the pregnancy test kit. Sergeant Kim asks Ji Soo to meet up, and says that he has something to tell her.
