These are the Recap & Review for Twinkling Watermelon: Episode 6. Chung-A’s world is in the dark because she cannot hear anything and she cannot say anything. She’s lucky. Her mother teaches her how to speak her name with the sign language. It makes her smile.
Twinkling Watermelon: Episode 6 Recap & Review
Note: From here on out there are specific plot spoilers for Twinkling Watermelon: Episode 6.
But Chung-A’s mother is taken away. Chung-A cries to tell her mother that she likes her. Her teacher shows up. She’s rude to Chung-A when she teaches her. Chung-A has to bite the teacher. The teacher locks Chung-A in the room. Chung-A walks to the window. She sees Yi-Chan staining her teacher’s clothes. She laughs.
Chung-A tries to take the book from the shelf. But the books fall to her. Yi-Chan protects her with his body. She falls for him and she goes to the ice cream store he works. She watches him outside when he works. She tails him when he walks out of the clothing store with a T-shirt. She walks into the clothing store. She buys the same T-shirt.
Yi-Chan shows the T-shirt to Se-Kyung. He invites her to come to his concert. Chung-A watches what Yi-Chan does. She believes that he would confess his feelings to her if she didn’t borrow the T-shirt to Se-Kyung. She locks herself in the supply room. She wishes the world to disappear.
But she runs into Yi-Chan who’s chased by the teacher. She wants to go to thank him for helping her. But she sees him meeting Se-Kyung. She drops the umbrella and she runs away. He sees her off and he asks Se-Kyung to wait for him. He goes to chase Chung-A.
Se-Kyung turns around. She sees Eun-Gyeol. He yells at her and he asks her why she showed up since she asked him not to tell others that she came back. She reveals she came back because of him. Chung-A is lost to walk on the street. Yi-Chan tries to stop her when he chases her. But she cannot hear what he says.
So he throws something to her when she turns around. It hurts her forehead. He tells a lie to her that it wasn’t him. She’s furious to summon the cab. She gets in the cab and she leaves. He picks up the stuff she just left. Eun-Gyeol is surprised that Se-Kyung came back because of him. He asks her to explain it.
He yells at her when she doesn’t give him an answer. She yells him back. She explains to him that she wanted to know what it will happen since he thought she wouldn’t come back. He asks her if she thinks Yi-Chan is a joke to her.
She denies it and she thinks she didn’t say so. He blames her for playing with Yi-Chan. She thinks he wishes her to die. She promises to disappear when the time comes. He wonders if she’s the Se-Kyung he knows. Yi-Chan shows up when he calls Se-Kyung.
He apologizes to her for letting her wait. She asks him for a talk. He runs into the ice cream to let his manager know it. Se-Kyung is surprised that Eun-Gyeol doesn’t leave. She meets with Yi-Chan at the cafe. She stares at him. She tells him that she just found out that he’s very handsome.
He wonders if she came back to make fun of him. She denies it and she reveals she did it because something came up. She tells him that she just came back yesterday. She tells a lie to him that he’s the only one who knows she’s back.
He wonders why she came back to see him since she left without a word. She explains to him that she came back to apologize to him. She mentions she was rude to him because she didn’t know him. She tells him that she wants to know him more. She promises to keep her promise.
Yi-Chan Refuses to Change the Final Song
Eun-Gyeol waits for Yi-Chan at home in Twinkling Watermelon Episode 6. Yi-Chan shows up. Eun-Gyeol asks Yi-Chan why Se-Kyung came back. Yi-Chan thinks Eun-Gyeol wasn’t in a relationship. He tries to tell what Se-Kyung said to him. But Eun-Gyeol doesn’t want to listen to what Yi-Chan says. He runs into the house.
He lies in the bed. He tells himself that he doesn’t want to know what Se-Kyung said to Yi-Chan. Yi-Chan tells the people that his heart skipped a beat when Se-Kyung showed up in front of him with a short hair. He thinks he’s going to fall for his goddess again.
He asks his friends how he can get Se-Kyung. Bal-San tells Yi-Chan that Se-Kyung belongs to him because she cut her hair short for him. He thinks the beauty regretted for what she did to Yi-Chan after she left. Eun-Gyeol worries that Se-Kyung will kill herself. He goes to her house. She shows up and wonders why he knows her house.
He reminds her that he came to see her with Yi-Chan before. But she doesn’t remember it. He realizes that she doesn’t care for Yi-Chan at all. She wonders why he came to her house. He takes a look the noodles she carries. He thinks she won’t starve to death. He tries to leave.
She learns that he came to see her because he worried about her. She’s surprised that he’s an angel. He tells her not to show up in front of Yi-Chan. He leaves. She returns home and she sees the rope she prepared. Yi-Chan grabs the skateboard from the classmate. He takes the skateboard to the band house.
He walks into the band house. The band members are waiting for him. He mistakes that the members will welcome him. But they blame him for his late. They begin to practice. Yi-Chan walks out of the band house with his members. He thinks they did a great job.
But Ma-Joo thinks the final song is a problem. Se-Bum mentions the final song is hard because of Yi-Chan. Hyun-Yool wants to change the final song. But Yi-Chan is against it. Because the song was chosen by Se-Kyung. But Si-Guk tells Yi-Chan that Se-Kyung played with him. He asks him if he knows why Se-Kyung chose the song.
Yi-Chan thinks Se-Kyung did so because she liked Kurt Cobain. But Si-Guk tells Yi-Chan that Se-Kyung chose the hard song for making him give up. Yi-Chan tries to have a fight with Si-Guk. But Ma-Joo stops him. Se-Bum tells Yi-Chan that everyone knows the truth.
Se-Kyung Invites Yi-Chan to the Amusement Park
But Eun-Gyeol scolds Se-Bum. He asks the people to trust Yi-Chan. Se-Kyung shows up. She takes off her helmet and she greets Yi-Chan. She smiles to run to him. He wonders why she came to the place. She reveals the manager told her about the practice session when she went to the ice cream store.
She tells him that she came to support him. She takes out the tickets of the amusement park. She invites him to go to the amusement park with her. He’s shy to tell her that she doesn’t have to do it for him. She invites the members to join them because she bought them the tickets. They nod.
Eun-Gyeol tells Se-Kyung that he won’t go to the amusement park with her. She tells him that she didn’t buy him the ticket because she knew he would say so. He tries to go home. But he hears Yi-Chan telling Se-Kyung that he’s going to show something to her. He’s against it.
Se-Kyung and Yi-Chan go to the restaurant with the members after they had fun at the amusement park. Yi-Chan leaves after Se-Kyung told him that she needs napkin. She has a fight with Eun-Gyeol when they take the cream. He gets the cream in the end. She puts the tomato sauce on his face.
He washes his face in the restroom. He thinks she intended to do that to him. He leaves the restroom. She’s waiting for him. She thinks he did it too much to protect Yi-Chan. He tells her that he’s going to let Yi-Chan choose the right path. He adds that he wants to help Yi-Chan get into college. He thinks she’s a problem.
She tries to leave. But he stops her. He tells her not to play with the naive guy’s feelings. He mentions she doesn’t have feelings for Yi-Chan. But she thinks the feelings can be changed. He tells her that Yi-Chan is destined to be with someone. He refuses to leak the person.
She mistakes that the person who likes Yi-Chan is him. She tells him that she won’t tell it to others. He denies it and he follows her. They run into Yi-Chan. Yi-Chan runs to Se-Kyung after he saw her. But he steps on the banana skin. He trips.
Eun-Gyeol pushes Se-Kyung aside. He runs to catch Yi-Chan. He asks him if he’s hurt when others go to care for Se-Kyung. Yi-Chan pushes Eun-Gyeol away. He asks him for a talk. He asks him why he did it to him. Eun-Gyeol explains to Yi-Chan that he worried that he would be hurt.
Yi-Chan thinks Eun-Gyeol isn’t a superman. Eun-Gyeol takes a look at his watch. He reminds Yi-Chan that it’s time to do the tutoring session. But Yi-Chan refuses to listen to Eun-Gyeol. He thinks he ruined everything for him. Eun-Gyeol asks Yi-Chan to stay by his side for one year. The people hear what Eun-Gyeol says.
Yi-Chan tries to explain it to the people. But the people walk away because they thought they should respect the two’s decision. Yi-Chan tells Se-Kyung that it’s not what she saw. But she tells him that she understands him. She walks away.
Yi-Chan walks Se-Kyung out of the restaurant. He wants to take her home. But she rejects it because she promised someone. She takes a look at Eun-Gyeol. She says goodbye to the people. Yi-Chan tells Eun-Gyeol not to follow him. Eun-Gyeol walks to Se-Kyung. He tells her that he cannot tell his secret to her. She mistakes that he likes her. She mentions he interrupt them when she stayed with Yi-Chan.
He denies it and he tries to leave. She stops him and she asks him if he likes her more than Yi-Chan. He tells her that he doesn’t like her. He walks away. She laughs because she thinks it’s fun to tease him. She sends a message to Yi-Chan when he’s studying with Eun-Gyeol. He calls her. Eun-Gyeol reminds Yi-Chan that the lesson isn’t over. He has a fight with him when Yi-Chan talks with Se-Kyung.
Yi-Chan tells the members that he’s going to change the final song. He reveals Se-Kyung asked him to do so. Everyone member agrees to change the final song except Eun-Gyeol. Because Eun-Gyeol worries that Se-Kyung will change her mind.
He asks Yi-Chan if he will change the final song again for Se-Kyung. Yi-Chan admits it. He mentions Se-Kyung returned to Korea for him. He wants to keep the promise. Eun-Gyeol yells at Yi-Chan. He asks him if his promise is nothing to him. But Yi-Chan forgets the promise.
Eun-Gyeol leaves the band house. Ma-Joo lets Yi-Chan chase Eun-Gyeol. Yi-Chan stops Eun-Gyeol. He wonders why he made a fuss since everyone agreed to the idea. Eun-Gyeol asks Yi-Chan if he made the band for chasing girls. He blames him for only caring for Se-Kyung.
Yi-Chan asks Eun-Gyeol why he stayed in the band. Eun-Gyeol tells Yi-Chan that he quits. He leaves. Yi-Chan returns to the band house. He tells the member that Eun-Gyeol will come back. Eun-Gyeol walks on the street. He passes by the music store.
Choi Hyun shows up. He thinks Eun-Gyeol is the good son who wants to buy his father guitar. He reveals he found a perfect guitar for him. But Eun-Gyeol tells Choi Hyun that he doesn’t need the guitar anymore. He leaves. Choi Hyun realizes that Eun-Gyeol had a fight with his father.
Eun-Gyeol eats outside the convenience store. He takes out the pocket money Yang-Hee gave him. He sees the note she left. She tells him to buy something good with the cash. He feels sorry for her. But he thinks it’s hard to watch his childish father. He cries.
Yi-Chan returns home. Yang-Hee asks him about his teacher. He reveals he met Eun-Gyeol at the school. But the guy went somewhere. She takes out the stuff. She asks him to return the stuff to the person. But he tells her that he cannot talk with the person.
Yi-Chan walks into his room. He feels good without Eun-Gyeol when he lies on the floor. He remembers what Eun-Gyeol told him that he doesn’t care for others except Se-Kyung. Eun-Gyeol lies outside the convenience store. The store owner wakes him up. She tells him not to sleep in front of her store.
He tries to leave when she intends to call the police. He sees the flashing lights. He goes to pick up the phone. He complains to Master that he had a fight with his father. He asks him to send him home. But Master tells Eun-Gyeol that the time gate isn’t open. He reveals he changed everyone’s fate after he pretended to be Dong-Jin.
Eun-Gyeol asks Master to tell him about the whereabouts of his mother. But Master hands up. Eun-Gyeol wakes up. He remembers Master told him that he has given all of the hints to him. Chung-A falls asleep in the classroom. The teacher tells the students to go to the gym.
The students don’t tell it to Chung-A. They leave. Chung-A’s mother wakes Chung-A up. She tells her that she loves her. Chung-A thinks her mother is a liar because she gave up her. She tries to leave the school. She runs into Yi-Chan. He greets her and returns her stuff to her.
He takes a look at her name tag. He sees her name. He remembers Eun-Gyeol told him to get together with Chung-A. She’s sick. He carries her away. Eun-Gyeol takes part in the audition. It’s raining. He passes out before he perform. Se-Kyung takes a look at Eun-Gyeol’s photos. She laughs. It’s blackout. She takes a look at outside. She finds out that it’s raining. She walks out of the convenience store. She tries to leave. But she sees the telephone booth. Eun-Gyeol is sent to the hospital when Yi-Chan carries Chung-A to the hospital.
Episode 6 of Twinkling Watermelon begins with Chung-A’s past. So we know why the poor girl likes Yi-Chan. He’s actually her light after her mother left. She would be locked in the room without him. So she wants to thank him for saving her life. But she sees him getting together with Se-Kyung.

I don’t understand Se-Kyung’s plan. She tells Eun-Gyeol that she came back to kill herself. Why she flirts with Yi-Chan. He’s like a fool being played by her. Eun-Gyeol doesn’t understand it as well. He tries his best to part the two. But he fails. So he wants to return home. But Master tells Eun-Gyeol that he changed everyone’s fate. He refuses to give any hint to him because he has given all of the hints to him. Let’s us see what will happen in episode 7 and episode 8.
