Soo-Jae walks to Gong Chan. He’s nervous. But she walks away. He feels happy that she didn’t recognize him. Soo-Jae meets with Jin-Ki in his office. He tells her that he knew she’s a troublemaker when he saw her in the classroom. He wrote the words like she did in episode 1 on the blackboard. But she gave him a cross.
Soo-Jae laughs to ask Jin-Ki for the director position because she wants to win the public’s hearts so that she can return to TK Law Firm. But he rejects it. He sees her off from the window. He sees a fog photo.

Gong Chan walks alone the street. It’s raining. He looks at the rain. He holds umbrella running in the rain to call his sister. But she doesn’t pick up his phone. He goes to the convenience store Na-Jung works. He tells the guy to let Na-Jung call him once she comes back. Gong Chan finds Na-Jung who passes out. He tries to wake her up. But someone hits Gong Chan’s head from his back.
Hyung-Chil closes his shop. He wonders why Gong Chan doesn’t come. Zo-Gab reminds Hyung-Chil that it’s the death anniversary of Gong Chan’s sister. He tells him not to mention it in front of Gong Chan. Hyung-Chil sees Gong Chan. He greets him. Gong Chan waves at Hyung-Chil.
Soo-Jae tells the two followers to find the secret of Tae-Kook and Sung-Beom after she got the papers from Sung-Beom’s office. Soo-Jae arrives at the company. But she’s blocked by the guard. The guard tells her that she cannot get into the company because she’s on vacation.
Soo-Jae runs into Joo-Wan who replaced her. Tae-Kook tells the guard to let Soo-Jae in. Soo-Jae walks into the company. She finds out that everyone welcomes Joo-Wan. She goes to the restroom to rinse her mouth. The little girl runs to Soo-Jae. She grabs her dress and tells her that she wants to pee.
Soo-Jae scolds the woman who brought the little girl to the company. She runs into the little girl again outside the company. She finds out that the little girl is Tae-Kook’s granddaughter. Joo-Wan shows up. He pinches the little girl’s face. Tae-Kook tells Soo-Jae to give the papers to Joo-Wan.
Teaching Assistant Park calls Soo-Jae. He tells her that the students don’t want to take her class. The only two students stay in the classroom are Gong Chan and Yoon-Sang. Gong Chan tells Yoon-Sang that he stayed because he likes Soo-Jae. He worries that Soo-Jae’s class will be cancelled.
Yoon-Sang thinks Soo-Jae has a way to deal with it. Soo-Jae sends messages to the students that the top student will get a huge money from her. The students leave the teacher’s classrooms. They go to Soo-Jae’s classroom. Soo-Jae brings the papers to the students. She tells them to study the verdicts.
In-Soo tells the people that he will work hard. A man on the motorcycle hands over the papers to In-Soo. In-Soo is startled after he read the papers. Sung-Beom arrives at the company. Ki-Taek hands over the papers to Sung-Beom. Sung-Beom is furious to throw away the papers.
Tae-Kook tells Mi-Rim to open the safe. She opens it and finds out that the papers were replaced by comic books. Tae-Kook smiles because he knows it was done by Soo-Jae. Mi-Rim reports to Soo-Jae that Tae-Kook was furious. Tae-Kook gives a speech to the students. He introduces Sung-Beom and In-Soo to them.
Soo-Jae walks into the hall when the students applaud. She leaves. Gong Chan sees her. Soo-Jae meets with Tae-Kook. He asks her why she hurt Sung-Beom and In-Soo. She plays the recording of Sung-Beom and In-Soo, both promised her a good position if she returns the papers to them.
Tae-Kook tells Soo-Jae that he cannot let her return to the position because his son Joo-Wan is in the position. He trusts his son more than her. She tells him that she’s not interested in the position. She asks him for letting her earn money from Hansu Group.
Soo-Jae runs into Joon-Myung. He touches Soo-Jae. Gong Chan stops Joon-Myung and tells him to apologize to Soo-Jae. Joon-Myung slaps Gong Chan. Gong Chan thinks Soo-Jae shouldn’t let Joon-Myung leave because he didn’t apologize to her. She mistakes that he asks for her apology because she slapped him as well.
Gong Chan tells Soo-Jae that he knew she did it to him because she was upset. She tells him not to care for her business. Tae-Kook runs into Yoon-Sang. He helps him to join his company. Yoon-Sang rejects it and blames his father for giving up Soo-Jae.
Does Joon-Myung Kiss Se-Ryun? Does Soo-Jae Help Se-Ryun?
Gong Chan shows up behind Soo-Jae. It startles her. He tells her that he will study hard because of her. She takes the cab to leave. Se-Ryun cries to walk out of the bar. She posts an article that Joon-Myung kissed her. The guy has a talk with Se-Ryun. He tells her that he came to help her. He reminds her that Joon-Myung is a great teacher. He reveals Chun-Poong told him Joon-Myung didn’t do that when he asked him about it.
Se-Ryun runs into Joon-Myung. He asks her to apologize to him. She’s furious to throw a fit to him. He reminds her that nobody trusts her because she’s lowly. Gong Chan remembers Joon-Myung thought he killed his sister because he’s lowly.
Gong Chan throws his bag to Joon-Myung. Joon-Myung is furious to beat Gong Chan. Yoon-Sang stops Joon-Myung. Zo-Gab and Hyung-Chil want to take revenge Gong Chan. Gang-Ja thinks the two were gangsters. She introduces herself as a cop. Zo-Gab and Hyung-Chil are nervous. They tell Gang-Ja to order the food she wants to eat.
Yoon-Sang tells Chun-Poong to confess that Joon-Myung kissed Se-Ryun. He mentions Joon-Myung hurt many girls. But Chun-Poong refuses to confess it for protecting himself. He leaves the restaurant. Hee-Young tells Soo-Jae to make Se-Ryun apologize to Joon-Myung. She reminds her that the student has to leave the student if she doesn’t do so.
Soo-Jae cannot stand those bad teachers. She leaves the meeting room and runs into Se-Ryun. Se-Ryun asks Soo-Jae to help her. But Soo-Jae tells Se-Ryun to apologize to Joon-Myung. It makes Se-Ryun cry. Se-Ryun wipes off her tears. She walks away.
Gong Chan shows up from Soo-Jae’s back. He blames her for letting Se-Ryun do the thing she doesn’t want to do. She ignores him and tries to walk away. He reminds her that she also got hurt by Joon-Myung. She turns around and mentions what she said that she doesn’t want him to step in her case.
Gong Chan thinks Soo-Jae isn’t the one he knew. He thinks she will take the duty if Joon-Myung kisses other girls again. He tells her to do something because he knows she’s a good person. But she mistakes that he likes Se-Ryun. She tells him to find the evidence.
CEO Park summons Soo-Jae to her office. She tells her that she wants to talk about Joon-Myung’s case with her. Min-Joo takes her husband Joon-Myung to show up. CEO Park asks Soo-Jae to help Joon-Myung. Soo-Jae agrees to it. The guy hands over the USB flash drive to Gong Chan. He tells him that he keeps the footage after he was asked to delete it.
Zo-Gab and Hyung-Chil praise the guy. Gang-Ja lets Chun-Poong watch the footage. She gives him the last chance to confess it. He gets on knees to her. He admits that he lied. She’s furious to grab his head to shake. Gong Chan asks Chun-Poong why he didn’t tell them the truth. Chun-Poong reveals he worried that he had to leave the law school if he told them the truth.
Min-Joo promises to Se-Ryun that her husband won’t hurt her when they’re in the meeting room. Gong Chan shows up with the classmates. He plays the footage. Joon-Myung closes the laptop. He blames Gong Chan for doing it. Chun-Poong shows more evidence to the people.
Min-Joo asks Soo-Jae to say something. Soo-Jae plays the footage that Joon-Myung hugs her. Min-Joo is furious to slap Joon-Myung when he tries to explain it. She leaves the meeting room. Joon-Myung admits that he touched Soo-Jae and Se-Ryun.
Gong Chan shows his phone to Joon-Myung. He tells him that he recorded what he said. Jin-Ki tells Joon-Myung to resign. He comforts Se-Ryun before he leaves. Se-Ryun cries to hug Gang-Ja after she won. Min-Joo wipes off her tears after she saw Soo-Jae. She thinks she did it because Joon-Myung defeated her ever.
Min-Joo thinks Soo-Jae sympathized with Se-Ryun because she was the girl who needed to sleep with Tae-Kook to get the position. Soo-Jae throws the photos to the ground. The photos show that Min-Joo had an affair with a man. Min-Joo is startled. She tries to pick up the photos. Soo-Jae steps on the photo. She tells Min-Joo that she will spread the photos if she fails to manage her husband. Min-Joo takes her photos back. She leaves the law school when Joon-Myung tries to explain something to her. Gong Chan spots the two.
It flashes back. Joon-Myung tells the reporters that Gong Chan killed his sister. The cops arrest Gong Chan. Gong Chan tries to tell his mom Soon-Ok that he didn’t take his sister’s life when she visited him in the jail. But she doesn’t believe what he said. She spits at him.
Soon-Ok tells Gong Chan that she wishes him to die. She cries. Sang-Man comforts his wife. He blames Gong Chan. Gong Chan tears up. Sang-Man takes Soon-Ok away. The prisoners beat Gong Chan after knowing what he did to his sister. Zo-Gab stops the prisoners. Hyung-Chil rolls to Gong Chan. He puts the tissue into his nostril. He stops the bleeding. He smiles at him after Gong Chan took a look at Hyung-Chil.
Why Her? K-Drama: Episode 2 Ending
Soo-Jae gets in the elevator. She tries to close the door. Gong Chan stops the door. He praises Soo-Jae for helping Se-Ryun. He asks her out. She’s shocked. He gets in the elevator, telling her that he has feelings for her. He holds her hands. She takes a look at him. He gets off the elevator walking away. She walks out of the building. He watches her when she walks.
It flashes back. The judge sentences Gong Chan to ten years in prison. Gong Chan is lost. Joon-Myung packs his stuff after he won. Soo-Jae holds Gong Chan’s hand. She tells him not to give up when she tears up. He takes a look at her.
Gong Chan gets released after the real killer got arrested. Soon-Ok throws the stuff to Gong Chan when the reporters question him. Gong Chan receives a new identity. He begins to study law. He goes to the law school to get an interview. He tells Jin-Ki that he came to the law school for looking for someone.
Soo-Jae walks on the campus. She stops and takes a look at her hand which was touched by Gong Chan. She smiles.
