In the 23-24th episodes of Long Qing is jealous of Ning Que to be Fu Zi’s student, and unites Wei Guangming to kidnap Ning Que. But Yan Se and Jun Mo save him. Emperor Tang meets with Ning Que. Sang Sang thinks it’s an opportunity to get rich. So she collects all of his handwriting.
Ever Night Chinese Drama Recap: Episode 23

Cheng Lixue accompanies Long Qing to leave the capital of Tang Empire. Long Qing is sad that people welcomed him before, but it’s cold and cheerless now. He feels humiliated, and he went to attend the exam because Fu Zi cut all of the peach blossoms of Peach hill of west palace. He wanted to be Fu Zi’s personal student. Chen Lixue regrets that he didn’t help Long Qing. Long Qing swears to defeat Tang Empire to take revenge.
Ning Que is promoted to be the thirteenth teacher. Li Qingshan worries that Ning Que won’t work for their sect even if he becomes Yan Se’s first student. But Yan Se doesn’t think so. Ning Que spends $50 to buy Sang Sang rose perfume, but he is chased by three group of people. He tries to avoid them, but they want to kill him. He has to fight it back.

He is attacked by the harsh tinkle, and is arrested. Huashan Yue worries that Ning Que won’t help Hun Yuan since he got the position. But Li Yu claims she has his soft rib. Sang Sang waits Ning Que for a night but he didn’t return. She visits the princess mansion, but Li Yu doesn’t know his whereabout. Sang Sang asks Li Yu to help her, so Li Yu sends Huashan Yue to search for Ning Que.
Huashan Yue and Xu Chongshan guard the gate but they didn’t find Ning Que. Huashan Yue is pleased. Sang Sang smells the ink odor in the alley, and finds the perfume Ning Que left. She gives it to Yan Se. Yan Se draws the spell and finds out Ning Que is tied up on the carriage.
Ning Que’s missing spreads around the capital, Chen Pipi wants to go downhill to look for. But Fu Zi stops the people of academy from interference. Chen Pipi has to give up. Li Yu asks Emperor Tang a favor, but he thinks Ning Que can deal with it otherwise Fu Zi won’t accept him. Ning Que is carried to a obsolescent yard, he asks the kidnapper his identity. The person claims he comes from light, and wants to get rid of darkness Ning Que.

Lin Ling sends message to Xia Hou that Ning Que was the person who killed Yan Suqing and Zhang Yiqi, and suspects he is General Lin’s son. Xia Hou asks Lin Ling to investigate it and kills him. Li Peiyan wants to get rid of Ning Que as well, but he disappears. So Li Peiyan suspects Ning Que’s identity.
Yan Se and Sang Sang look for Ning Que. Her umbrella drops on the floor and points to the yard. Yan Se opens the door with his magic. He sees the kidnapper and Ning Que passing out. Sang Sang rushes to save Ning Que, but she is blocked by an invisible force. Yan Se defeats the kidnapper and guesses he is the follower of Wei Guangming. He blames Wei Guangming for his dirty method. The man claims Ning Que is darkness and wants to get rid of him. Yan Se declares that Ning Que is his student and attack the man with his spell. The man falls to the ground and is hematemesis. Yan Se guesses it was Jun Mo. The kidnapper claims the son of darkness is in capital.
Yan Se saves Ning Que and asks him to apprentice. Ning Que is on knees to Yan Se and becomes his first student. Yan Se thrills to give him a red envelope. Ning Que wants to open it. But Yan Se suggests Ning Que to do it after going home. He takes out the note Ning Que left in Hongxiu Zhao. Ning Que thinks the handwriting isn’t his with first sight.

Ning Que is out of gate and opens the red envelope, finding a note and a copper. He thinks Yan Se is stingy like Sang Sang. Xu Chongshan investigates that Xia Hou and Li Peiyan attended the plan. Emperor Tang doesn’t worry about Ning Que, but he fears his brother’s ambition. So he asks Xu Chongshan to watch Li Peiyan.
Ever Night Chinese Drama Recap: Episode 24
Ning Que returns to academy. Chen Pipi reveals Jun Mo saved Ning Que, and reveals nobody will hurt him if he joins back hill. Ning Que thrills to hug Chen Pipi, but he points Ning Que with his forefinger and asks him to stay away. Ning Que praises Chen Pipi’s finger skill and follows him to know his brothers and sisters.
The seventh teacher Mu You casts needle to Ning Que, but he doesn’t avoid it. The needle flies around him and flies away. She praises his concentration. Chen Pipi takes Ning Que to see the ninth teacher Beigong Weiyang and the tenth teacher Ximen Buhuo. They play a song. Chen Pipi and Ning Que dance when they’re close to the teachers.
Chen Pipi leads Ning Que to visit the eleventh teacher who is on the swings. The teacher appoints Ning Que to argue. The sixth teacher is good at blacksmith and most of armors are made by bim, but the designer is the fourth teacher.
The fifth teacher and the eighth teacher like to play chess, they’re meeting with friends under the mountain. The elder teacher Li Manman is travel with Fu Zi. Chen Pipi reminds Ning Que to respect the second teacher Jun Mo. But Jun Mo seals Ning Que’s mouth when he flatters him. He gives him a amber token made by Fu Zi, and asks Ning Que to protect academy and Tang Empire. Ning Que takes the token and asks Jun Mo for the sword art. But Jun Mo tells him to be self-study.
Emperor Tang meets with Ning Que, and tells him the past about he and Zhao Xiaoshu. Ning Que is intentional to speak out the wronged case of General Lin, but he doesn’t want to affect emperor’s mood. Emperor Tang gives a gift to Ning Que, but suggests him to open it when Ning Que walks into spell path. Emperor Tang asks Ning Que for the looks of kidnapper, but Ning Que conceals it because he thinks Emperor Tang will find the truth.
Sang Sang asks Ning Que about the talks, he says his handwriting will be valuable. He regrets for throwing it off. But Sang Sang keeps them all. Jin Jijiu got emperor’s handwriting, Wang Xueshi wants to challenge him with Ning Que’s chicken soup handwriting. So Wang Xueshi buys it with $15,000 from Yan Se. Yan Se is pleased because the handwriting isn’t written by Ning Que but him.
The next day, Yan Se picks Ning Que to learn spell. People asks for Ning Que’s handwriting. Sang Sang conceals the handwritings under the bed, and takes the seal to flee.
Sang Sang visits Hongxiu Zhao and asks Xiao Cao for the note drunk Ning Que left. She knows Shui Zhuer kept it. The princes asks Shui Zhuer for the note with $30,000. Shui Zhuer wants to accept it. But Sang Sang stops her, and promises to sell Ning Que and Yan Se’s signatures with $500 each.
