This the recap of Go Go Squid! Chinese Drama 2019 Episode 1, Shang Yan walks to the internet cafe because his team KK lose to SP. He runs into a girl Tong Nian who falls for him, and she forces him to add her wechat. Tong Nian begins to send message to him, and it makes Shang Yan want to block her.

Shang Yan’s team fails the game, and Ai Qing hands out as the winner. He walks away, and the player Wu Bai glares at Ai Qing. Shang Yan stops the team member’s argument, and gets off the bus. He gets in the internet cafe, and the girl Tong Nian knows his name through his photo id. She gets him the instant noodles, chocolate and chicken feet. He asks her for her name. But we know that it’s just her imagination.
Tong Nian gets the night snack to Shang Yan and intends to ask for nothing. But Tong Nian’s cousin asks Shang Nian for 40 yuan. Cousin wants to give Shang Yan a week of surfing internet for free, and Tong Nian offers to get Shang Yan scan her wechat. Cousin gets Shang Yan’s wechat, but cousin and Tong Nian don’t know what Shang Yan’s job is.
Tong Nian draws Shang Nian, and conceals it when he walks to her. He thinks it isn’t safe to stay at the internet cafe in the evening, and leaves. Shao Fei reminds Tong Nian that Shang Yan left his photo id, and she chases out to give it to him. Shang Yan returns and cleans the room for team members when they fall asleep.
The team members of KK wonder if Shang Yan returned last night, and they’re surprised that he begins to use wechat. Shan Yan sees the message that Tong Nian will leave the seat for him. Tong Nian complains to Shao Fei that Shang Yan didn’t reply her messages. The team members get off the bus and think Shang Yan takes them to enjoy flowers.
But Shang Yan says that he will take them to run. He threatens them that the fourth will get punished. Tong Nian sends message to Shan Yan that he will get prize if he replies eternal love. Shan Yan reminds the team members that they only have 6 six years as players, and thinks they’re happy to lose. But Dai Feng talks back that it’s not shameful to lose to SP as they’re always the first.

But Shang Yan thinks it’s shameful to lose to SP. The team member thinks Shang Yan doesn’t want to lose to Wang Hao. Shang Yan walks to him and says that it doesn’t have the word “lose” in his dictionary. He asks them to take out some performance as nobody remembers the second. Shang Yan asks Wu Bai to send new year red packets to members and block Tong Nian’s wechat.
Wu Bai thinks Shang Yan went on a blind date, and Shang Yan complains that the internet cafe forced him to add wechat. Wu Bai offers to delete Tong Nian, but Shang Yan stops him. The girl startles Tong Nian in the class and thinks she plans to go to play. But Tong Nian shares that she needs to manage the internet cafe for her cousin.
The girl Ya Ya tells Tong Nian to be in love, and Tong Nian asks her for the feeling when she loves someone else. Ya Ya thinks Tong Nian loves Zheng Fei after Tong Nian waved to him. Tong Nian tells Ya Ya not to be kidding, and Zheng Hui brings juices to them. Zheng Hui asks Ya Ya to help him pursue Tong Nian, and Ya Ya agrees with it.
Shang Yan visits the supermarket and wants to buy the owner Shao Fei. Shao Fei hugs Shang Yan with tear, and shares that he thought he wouldn’t come back. Shang Yan thinks Shao Fei is like a little girl to cry. Shao Fei wants to take Yan Shang to drink, but Yan Shang shares that he has a game to watch. Shao Fei thinks Yan Shang is the winner when he is on the stage.
Shang Yan shares that he set up a ctf club in Norway, and Shao Fei guesses Shang Yan is the boss of KK club. Shang Yan tells Shao Fei to help him if he cannot take down. But Shao Fei rejects it and takes Shang Yan to see the person he wants to see. Ou Qiang is surprised to see Shang Yan, and claims he brought a person to them.
