Love in Sadness Korean Drama Recap: Episode 11

Jung-Won spots three missed call so that he calls Ma-Ri, but she doesn’t pick up. Hae-Ra calls him and tells that In-Wook is the president. He drives to Ma-Ri’s house, and she steps out at the same time. In-Wook thinks Ha-Kyung is a close friend to Hae-Ra as people only work with someone they can trust. But Hae-Ra says that they’re in a boss-employee relationship.
In-Wook decides to leave as he thinks she won’t tell him what he wants to know. He takes the magazine and thinks she knows him, and she hides something to him. Sung-Ho walks in and asks Hae-Ra what In-Wook is doing there. He guesses he came to buy a painting, and reveals he’s known to be a devoted husband. He asks her if In-Wook went to buy painting. But she denies and worries that something will happen.
Jung-Won cuts steak for Ma-Ri. She tells him that In-Wook is her husband, and that is why she cannot stay away from him. He thinks the things will be even harder, and tells her to brace her energies. Cheol-Young thinks Ha-Kyung is the only person who knew that In-Wook were looking for the dress. In-Wook remembers Ha-Kyung was scared, and thinks Ma-Ri must be somewhere Ha-Kyung passed by.
If someone finds out my secret, they will get hurt. If someone sees my sorrow, they will feel pain. That’s how I grew away from my friends and acquaintances, and got left alone. But I want to open up my wounded heart to this man. I want to be comforted and find courage from him.
Ma-Ri walks Jung-Won and mentions he told her to stop thinking about running away and face it. She says that nothing worked. He tells her that the words were told to himself as there was a hole in his heart. He suggests her to move to a safer place. But she says that she is hiding behind the face now. Jung-Won returns home, and spots Hae-Ra. She tells him that In-Wook visited her, and she is scared.
Jung-Won tells her to call him if In-Wook visits again. He asks her to look for a place for Ma-Ri, but she tells him to mind his own business. He reveals Ma-Ri ran onto the road prepared for death. She thinks he fell for Ma-Ri’s face, and wants to tell him that Ha-Kyung cheated on him. But she realizes that he knew it before the accident. She cannot accept it and leaves his house.
Jung-Won regrets that he let Ha-Kyung go. Ma-Ri regrets that she accepted In-Wook’s proposal. Ma-Ri calls Woo-Sun at the street, but she doesn’t recognize her. She arrives at the restaurant, and it hires kitchen staff. Hae-Ra tells Jung-Won that she couldn’t sleep a wink last night, and thinks he is stupid. She asks him to tell her what he were feeling. The boss complains that they’re short of hands in the kitchen.
He asks Ma-Ri if she can do that while she walks in. She says yes, so he asks her to get started. Hae-Ra thinks Jung-Won has been like a fool for the past five years. But he asks her to find a place for Ma-Ri as she wouldn’t let him help her. Hae-Ra yells if Ma-Ri the only one he cares about, and asks what the woman means to him. He says that she is someone he wants to protect, and wants to help her overcome her fear.
She thinks he always wants to protect a stray dog, a stray cat, or even a beetle that flies into his house. She asks him if Mr-Ri is the beetle, and thinks it’s because she looks like Ha-Kyung. He says that he doesn’t want to regret anymore. She asks him who does it have to be Ma-Ri. He says that he just go out to her, and she wants to live now. So he wants to protect her. Sung-Ho shows up and asks what they’re doing there. Hae-Ra walks away.
Ma-Ri burns her index finger during work. Sung-Ho asks Jung-Won what’s going on between Hae-Ra and him. He thinks it’s about In-Wook. Jung-Won asks Sung-Ho to look into In-Wook, Sung-Ho accepts it.
Love in Sadness Korean Drama Recap: Episode 12
Hae-Ra remembers that Jung-Won said that Ma-Ri is someone he wants to protect, and spots the news of In-Wook and Il-Kook. She thinks they’re cobras. Ma-Ri sees the news as well, and steps outside to take a breath. Sung-Ho walks in Jung-Won’s office and tells him that he looked into In-Wook for him. He tells him that In-Wook’s mom took her life with a gun. Jung-Won looks at the picture and finds out that Ma-Ri looks like In-Wook’s mom.
Ma-Ri is on the way home and notices someone is following her. She thinks it’s In-Wook and runs home. But she finds out he is just the neighbor who lives downstairs. She remembers In-Wook’s eyes, and is in tears. She recalls what Jung-Won said that the woman her husband is looking for, no longer exists. She tells herself that In-Wook cannot recognize her. In-Wook arrives at the house. Cheol-Young takes Kyung-Hee’s picture and says that she looks similar to the woman in the picture.

But In-Wook finds out the woman isn’t Kyung-Hee. Jung-Won arrives at Ma-Ri’s house. The man talks to someone over the phone that Ma-Ri ran away like crazy. Cheol-Young follows In-Wook and asks if she is the one he is looking for. He thinks she wasted his time. But she thinks the lady’s profile corresponded with the information he provided, and she was similar. But he tells her that she is fired. She asks for some time and grabs his hand. But he drives away.
Ma-Ri wants to call Jung-Won but she changes her mind. Jung-Won waits for her call, but she didn’t. So he leaves. Ma-Ri remembers her father told her to use her hands just for drawing. She thinks she can draw to feed herself and support her mom. Hye-Sook tells In-Wook that Il-Kook has high blood pressure, and thinks he worries about the heir. Il-Kook stops her. In-Sang calls his brother In-Wook, asking if Ma-Ri goes somewhere.
In-Wook asks In-Sang why he asked about it. He spots his stepmother and sneers at them. Ma-Ri takes the painting and is going to go out. Jung-Won spots In-Wook walking into the building. In-Wook looks for Ha-Kyung, but Jung-Won tells In-Wook that his wife isn’t there. He tells him not to come again. But In-Wook spots Ma-Ri’s painting “A Self-Portrait”. He asks Jung-Won who painted it. Ma-Ri tells the woman that she painted it.
