This is the recap for The Rebel Princess Chinese Drama: Episode 6. Empress arrives at the palace and tells the ministers that Crown Prince will take the throne because Emperor is poisoning. Xie Wanru cries and asks Crown Prince to save Consort Xie. Crown Prince claims that he cannot save Consort Xie because she tried to murder Emperor.

Xie Wanru thinks Consort Xie didn’t do that because she loves Emperor. Crown Prince tells Xie Wanru that he saw it. He reminds her to be careful because she belongs to Xie family. She tells him that she doesn’t want to live if her father and aunt are killed. He tells her that only Emperor can save the two, and decides to go to see Emperor.
Emperor wakes Crown Prince up and asks him about Emperor. He says that Emperor doesn’t have any action even if he accompanies him. She thinks Emperor mistook him. She adds that he will regret if he wakes up. He asks her if the murderers are Consort Xie and Zi Tan. She tells him that the wine which was given by Consort Xie contained poison.
Crown Prince wonders why Zi Tan wanted to do that. Empress tells Crown Prince that he needs to take the responsibility for her and the world. He promises not to disappoint her.
It flashes back. Wang Lin tells Empress that he will take action. She promises it but tells him not to hurt Crown Prince. He tells her that each person in Wang family is chess piece. He tells her to marry Princess to Xiao Qi.
Wang Lin tells people ministers that he found the poison in Xie family, and he arrested all of people in Xie family. Wen Zongsheng is against it and thinks they should do so after Emperor wakes up.
Empress visits the jail. Xie Yuan stares at her and tells her that he will make Wang family repay it. She ignores him and goes to see Consort Xie. Empress pours the wine for Consort Xie. Consort Xie asks Empress if she comes to see her off because she heard a tale of death meal.
Consort Xie drinks the wine. Empress asks Consort Xie if she worried that she dropped the poison in the wine. Consort Xie says that she knows that she will die one day. She adds that she know Emperor isn’t well when she sees Empress. Empress thinks Consort Xie loves Emperor deeply. She drinks with her for the painful fate of noble daughters.
Empress tells Consort Xie to give an alive path for Zi Tan. Consort Xie points out that his son isn’t the murderer. Empress thinks Consort Xie is so naive after she had lived in the palace for so many years. She points out that it’s not important who’s the murderer. Consort Xie tears up and asks Empress what she wants her to do.
Empress tells Consort Xie that she only wants her life. She thinks she should be dead.
