This is the Recap & Ending for Why Her? K-Drama: Episode 3. Zo-Gab prepares the meal for the students after they defeated Joon-Myung. Yoon-Sang volunteers to order all of the foods. Soo-Jae prepares the noodles at home. She remembers Gong Chan confessed his feelings to her when he held her hand.
Did Soo-Jae Kill So-Young?
Note: From here on out there are specific plot spoilers for Why Her? K-Drama: Episode 3.
Joon-Hee calls Soo-Jae. She asks her to join her. She reveals she cooked beef. Soo-Jae rejects it. Joon-Hee hears the sound when Soo-Jae opens the beer can. She tells her not to drink alone because she worries that she will be drunk. Soo-Jae hangs up.
The students walk to the bulletin board. They find out that the lawyer of TK Law Firm is going to take part in the game. They think Soo-Jae had some candidates in her mind. They think it’s not unfair. Teaching Assistant Park reveals the students who helped Se-Ryun got invited. The students walk away because they felt shame for not helping Se-Ryun. The girl shows up. She grabs her fist tightly when she sees Soo-Jae’s poster.

The students talk about they got invited. Jin-Ki shows up with Soo-Jae. He asks the students if one of them wants to quit. Gang-Ja pushes Chun-Poong to Jin-Ki. Chun-Poong laughs to deny it. He thanks Jin-Ki for giving him the chance.
Mi-Rim shows up. Jin-Ki volunteers to buy the group meal. Gong Chan has an eye contact with Soo-Jae. He smiles at her. She smiles at him back. The girl stands in front of the bulletin board. She tells the people that Soo-Jae killed her sister. She sees Soo-Jae. She walks to her and blames her for what she did it.
Mi-Rim tells the girl that she understands her feelings. She tells her to leave. But the girl talks back that Mi-Rim didn’t lose her sister like her. Soo-Jae walks to Ji-Young. She tells her that she and her families were burdens of her sister So-Young. She tells her that they killed her sister.
Soo-Jae tries to walk away. Ji-Young cries to tell Soo-Jae that she knows she killed her sister. She adds that she has the evidence. Soo-Jae ignores Ji-Young. She leaves with Mi-Rim. Gong Chan finds out that he cannot get any news about Soo-Jae and Ji-Young. Yoon-Sang thinks the news were taken down by TK Law Firm. He doesn’t believe Soo-Jae killed So-Young.
The students receive the footage which indicates Soo-Jae stayed with So-Young on the rooftop before So-Young took her life. Joo-Wan visits Tae-Kook. He mentions the footage. Tae-Kook scolds his son. He tells him to get the papers of Hansu Group from Soo-Jae.
Hee-Young brings up the footage to Jin-Ki as well. She tells him not to let Soo-Jae be the director. But he rejects it and asks her to take care of those people who don’t trust Soo-Jae. Soo-Jae is off duty. She walks to the elevator.
It flashes back. Soo-Jae gets in the elevator. She sees the jewelry. She picks up the jewelry and goes to the rooftop. Soo-Jae calls So-Young. So-Young turns around. She wonders how Soo-Jae found her. Soo-Jae shows the jewelry to So-Young. So-Young takes a look at her shoes. She finds out that the jewelry dropped from one of her shoes.
So-Young tells Soo-Jae that she wants to take her life on the rooftop. She adds that she wants to make the world believe that she killed her. Soo-Jae points out that So-Young came to the rooftop because she was called by someone. She tells her that she can help her if she leaks the person to her.
So-Young doesn’t believe what Soo-Jae said. She thinks she will only tell the world that she’s a gold digger. Soo-Jae admits that she wants to use So-Young. She holds her hand, asking her to tell the person to her. So-Young yells at Soo-Jae. She thinks she cannot judge her. She takes her life in front of her.
Joon-Hee calls Soo-Jae and tells her not to feel guilty when Soo-Jae is driving. She sees Hwa-Ja asking the guard for seeing her. Hwa-Ja shows the photo to the guard. She tells him that she’s Soo-Jae’s mom. Soo-Jae takes Hwa-Ja to his house. Hwa-Ja asks Soo-Jae to help her two brothers.
Soo-Jae rejects it. The brother brings up that Soo-Jae killed a woman. He takes Hwa-Ja away. Soo-Jae gets a message from Gong Chan who tells her that he worries about her. Someone posts Soo-Jae’s posters on the bulletin board. Gong Chan and Yoon-Sang take those posters off.
Soo-Jae talks about So-Young’s case with the students in the classroom. She asks the students if she should be charged. Each student thinks Soo-Jae should take duty for So-Young’s death, except Gong Chan. He tells her not to feel guilty because he thinks she didn’t do anything wrong.
Soo-Jae intends to leave the academic building. But it’s raining outside. Gong Chan holds the umbrella for her before she runs in the rain. He holds her hand and gives his umbrella to her. He runs away. She laughs after she found out that the umbrella was the award he got from the track and field Competition. He actually doesn’t leave. He sees her off. He runs away. Soo-Jae sees Gong Chan running along the street when she drives. The umbrella opens. It almost makes Soo-Jae hit the car in front of her. Gong Chan notes it.
Hyung-Chil brings the food to Soo-Jae. He tells her that his food is very delicious. But he’s taken away by Zo-Gab. Soo-Jae tastes the food. She smiles after she saw the group photos of Gong Chan and his friends. She gets a call from Tae-Kook.
Why Soo-Jae Helps Joo-Wan?
Soo-Jae arrives at TK Law Firm. Mi-Rim reports to Soo-Jae that she needs to resolve Joo-Wan’s drug case. Soo-Jae glares at Mi-Rim. She gives her bag to her. Soo-Jae walks into Tae-Kook’s office. Joo-Wan shows up. He tries to explain what he did to Tae-Kook. Tae-Kook slaps Joo-Wan. He tells him to leave his office.
Tae-Kook asks Soo-Jae to go to meet with the prosecutor. But she rejects it because she swore not to touch the case that she doesn’t feel good after So-Young took her life. But he thinks she’s the best candidate because he knows she intended to take So-Young’s life.
Tae-Kook asks Soo-Jae if she killed So-Young. She smiles and claims that she’s a smart woman. She promises to help Joo-Wan. She tells him that she does it for the fame of the company. She walks out of his office. She runs into Il-Ku. She asks him where he was when So-Young jumped off the rooftop. He reveals he stayed in the office and he went to the rooftop after someone called him. He adds that he didn’t see anything from the rooftop. He walks away.
Soo-Jae tells the students to look into So-Young’s case. Gong Chan believes that Soo-Jae asked them to do that because she wanted to catch the real killer. Ji-Young is asked to pay the medical bill. Her father tries to get into her mom’s ward. She pushes him and tells him that she wants to kill him because he used up all of their money.
Il-Ku reports to Tae-Kook that Soo-Jae resolved Joo-Wan’s case. Tae-Kook doesn’t pick up the phone when someone calls him. He tells Il-Ku that he wants to give the guy a lesson because he didn’t help his son. He remembers he slapped Joo-Wan after he found out that he killed a girl with his friends in the hotel.
Why Ji-Young Gets Arrested?
Tae-Kook takes Joo-Wan to the restaurant. He tells him that he let Soo-Jae work with Hansu Group. Because he wants her to take the duty. But she took away the papers from Hansu Group. He adds that she doesn’t know the evidence is hidden in those papers. Soo-Jae finds the evidence when she reads the papers. Tae-Kook tells Joo-Wan that he did those bad things for him. He wishes him not to do those things.
The students arrive at TK Law Firm. Mi-Rim picks them up. She finds out that Gong Chan doesn’t come. Gong Chan gets in the elevator. He hears the people wishing Soo-Jae to get fired. Soo-Jae takes the students to the rooftop. She asks them if they think she should be sued.
Chun-Poong shows the photo to Soo-Jae. It indicates Ji-Young appeared at the crime scene ever. Se-Ryun believes Ji-Young killed her older sister. Gong Chan doesn’t believe what Se-Ryun said. Because he thinks Ji-Young wouldn’t spread the footage if she killed her older sister.
Gong Chan walks into Soo-Jae’s office. He asks her what she said to So-Young before she took her life. Joo-Wan opens the door and hits Gong Chan. Joo-Wan realizes that Gong Chan is the student from the law school. He asks him if he wants to work in his company. Gong Chan denies it because he knows Joo-Wan is a bad person.
Joo-Wan asks Soo-Jae for Hansu Group’s papers. She rejects it. He tells her not to dream to get married with Kang-Won. She tells him that she won’t give those papers to him. He’s furious to leave her office. The cop walks into the ward. He arrests Ji-Young. Gong Chan watches the news. He learns that Ji-Young got arrested.
Why Her? K-Drama: Episode 3 Ending
Gong Chan waits for Soo-Jae. He asks her if he handed over the evidence to the police. She refuses to leak it, telling him not to pursue her. He tells her that he prepared the meal for her after he found out that she had a hard time. He tells her that he will continue to like her even if she rejected him. He leaves her office. She tears up and takes off her shoes.
Soo-Jae tries to take water. But she breaks the glass by mistake. She tries to pick up the glass shard. Gong Chan returns to her office. He stops her and carries her to the table. He touches her foot when he cleans the floor. She kisses him.
